LOL!!! i knew this was coming. im 23. even graduated college believe it or not. so heres the story...met a couple dudes who are real "writers" (right term?), part of a crew and everything. one from here in dago, and one in the sco. i even let them write all over the newspaper stand in my house. they laced me a bit on the whole society and philosophy behind writing. i thought it was pretty cool and became real interested in it...and also thought it was kinda funny.........fast forward 1 week...im having lunch at some random spot in the tenderloin, look up and see one of the dudes name up on the window of the restaurant. and thats when it hit me...i want my name on shit throughout the city too...i explained this to my roomates and a couple friends and they all agreed they want in too.
i knew when i made this thread i sounded like some little dork, and ppl were going to give me shit, which is partly why i did it (i was rolling at some of the comments made)...but yes i do want to write my "name" on things like street signs, businesses and bathrooms and stuff....especially in white neighborhoods. though im kinda mocking the act of writing, i dont wanna disrespect dudes who really do write cause i have a great deal of respect for them. but i dont think im really going into what they do or interfering with their shit........so thats the story behind this. i know its immature, but i have enough maturity in my life and need some fun immaturity to balance me out. thanks for the marker suggestions

well first off if you're gonna be a writer, you can't just tag "white neigborhoods". You gotta want that shit and you gotta get all city to even gain the attention you are attempting to get. Secondly go watch some graffiti videos you can torrent them and they'll teach you a little bit. Third don't come on the god damn Siccness trying to educate yourselfon graffiti!! You Fucking momo!! There's a place that goes by the name of 12oz that can probably answer a lot of your novice questions. That should be a little bit of advice you follow. Good luck ya fucking mook LOL....
You need at least 2-3 years to develop a decent original tagging style, learning how to do a decent individual piece takes even longer. I know the OP is a troll, but don't fuck with the streets until you got style!

you can look around your city for little skate shops or clothing stores for supplys.. i order off artprimo.com if i really need some good paint or other random supplys....
other than that this will only run about 20 bucks you can buy a gallon bucket of rustoleum oil based paint your choice of color and some mineral spirits oil based paint thinner. Mix it to whatever proportion you want. the thinner the more drippy... and for markers youd be suprised what you could make a marker out of..

u should have thought about this in 5th or 6th grade even 7th when the rest of us started doing this.i started 5th grade me and a few of my buddies had an alphabet one of them got from their cousin.and we took it from there.stopped writing my name around a few years ago.but i still do it every once in awhile for fun.and ur name dosent have to be "cool" find some letter you like to write together and that flow together good.and start changing them little by little.like shea and gas stated u need style.i still write mine on paper all the time and it still evolves.
