Between me and my pops we have over 500 DVD's (My dad just likes buying movies). Anyways they take up a lot of space and my dad's not really keen on categorizing and when it comes to finding a certain movie it takes a bit of time.
I want to rip all the DVD's (Video_TS not compressed because I want all the extras) to my computer. I know this is going to take a lot of space, at least 3 terabytes, but in the long run it'll be save a lot of physical space in the house.
I know some people just convert their collection to divx and what not but I don't want to waste time converting I'd rather have the whole thing.
Anyone else feel me on this?

If you do rip them you should rip them as IMAGES. It will just be one big 4.5-GIG to around a 7-GIG file. I know DVD Decryptor can do it for you. It's harder for a hard drive to lose small pieces of data than to lose one BIG file.
