if you want to get technical and REALLY fair then then as whites make up 80% of the US population then they should make up 80% of the NBA, MLB, and Football!!! African Americans should only be 12% of the NBA!!! If anything is unfair, then it is the domination of African Americans in basketball. Where are the middle eastern players/ vietnamese players???

and Rollins will tell you himself that hard work, determination, and hustle got him in the major leagues..... not getting over on whitey, paying someone off, or affirmative action.......... but you obviously dont know nothing about the first three......:dead:

The SI article and this thread focused on the dwindling numbers of Black ballplayers. Something has changed. SI reported that Blacks inbaseball went down from 27% to 10%< they were trying to figure out why. Those other groups you mentioned have never been represented in MLB enough to show a decline or increase. If you want to get into that, fine... but that wasn't the point of the article or the thread. Whites, by the way have stayed at a steady percentage. Its ineresting. For those of us who like to coach and get involved with youth sports, its a good read.

Baseball player jumps in a rap forum, we end up talkin a little baseball. So what. Its a real subject. Maybe we fucked up by discussing it on bart. Rollins was quoted in the SI article onthe subject, though. Read it, then talk about what "Rollins will tell you."

PLOT, you got your opinions just like me. Its all good. As far as sports go, though. The one sport that will give you an idea of how a group of people are doing ..is boxing. When you see a lot of mufacas boxing.... it aint good. That is one sport where people dont do it if they have a lot of options. WHatever, though. Back to this rap shit.

nah man i understand where your coming from I was aiming it at that chubby guy. You asked a legit question just wondering why blacks arnt big on baseball.... chubby made it out to be how there is a MLB conspiracy involving the whole MLB, players, coaches, umpires's, mascots, and fans in connection with the Ku Klux Klan and Nazi Lowriders to stop all African Americans from playing baseball.

I think the reason there arnt many African American's in baseball is not because there couldnt be but because its just not as popular. Most I know anyhow would rather play basketball and football. :confused:

Exactly. Certain sports are more appealing to certain races than others. Whens the last time you went into a white household and they were watching sumo wrestling? Whens the last time you went into an asian household and they were watching boxing? Whens the last time you went into a black household and they were watching ice hockey? Whens the last time you went into a mexican household and they were watching tennis?

You go anywhere else in the WORLD and most black people you see think about one sport and one sport only.... soccer. But in this country. If a black person lived in Canada, they would probably be more willing to look at Hockey. Feel me. I don't think you can just say, blacks are gonna like this sport and whites are gonna like this or whatever. If there was a michael Jordan in Baseball, young kids would love basebal, too. Just my opinion. Remember, too, that at one time blacks in America had their own baseball league and it was mostly packed whenever games were played and they had a flood of talent. It was the thing of the day. Now, most of blacks (apparently) dont give a fuck... just askin why
