Well I've been out of college since May and a week after graduation I had a serious knee injury that sidelined me for months. I've been working temp jobs while on the job search. I got a B.S. in Business and have had offers but nothing that has any future. I don't mind starting from the bottom of the todem pole as long as there is a high learning curve and room for advancement down the road.

So if anyone has any leads, hit me up @ [email protected]. Thanks in advance.

yeah i was workin at the crate & barrel warehouse.. i was workin the same $9 an hour mon-fri.. one thing i WOULDNT say is that the work was easy! i started off wrapping pallets, then moved on too driving the forklifts..there was slow ass days where we would get off early but for the most part it strictly work, not much play in between.. i did pretty much everything there from unloading trucks, putting product away, loading trucks and bein in charge of exels(finding peoples orders).. i did so much shit there but they still let me off for one b/s reason. if u get a warehouse job an specially as a temp just be prepaired to get laid off/fired..they hella shaddy!

i was temp an worked over 500 hours, gettin ready to become full time an they gave me the boot! the time i worked there i seen atleast 12 temps get fired.. when it comes to money they dont care! i guess since i was about to become full time they looked for any lil reason to fire me so they wouldnt have to pay the temp agency...

like 6 months after they let me go, they call me back saying they need help for a few weeks! they wanted me to work from 3:30pm to 4am..i was like hell naw, i wasnt good enough to become full time but then im good enough for them to call when they need help! im straight..

i do have my certification tho saying i can drive all truck equipment so its hella easy for me to find another warehouse job..

aight im writing too much...lol

if u find a TEMP job juss be careful!

What? did you not read what he wrote? Dude has a bachelor's in business and has received job offers but they all had no future. What the's future in workin in a wherehouse doing nothing for $9? He's lookin' to learn and and a job with an advancement down the road as he stated....

USCtrojan, what did you major in? Business management?

I read a statistic somewhere that folks who have 2-4 year degrees make an average of less then $30,000 a year...and most of them arent even workin in a field they got thier degree in...

And think about this...Bill Gates never finished college...go figure... :eyecross:

Props to your wife.. Real talk...

Life Experience vs. Degree

IMO- I find that Life Experience takes you farther... I have been working since I was 14, not the most impressive of jobs but when you have bills to pay, you work... I dont have the best job in the world, nothing to do with my major in college, but I've worked my way up.. I make enough money to live comfortably and devote my time off developing the skill set to eventually get into a position to work for myself..

Oh.. and it also depends on who ya know.. a sad truth for those of us that dont know not a mu' fucker.... LOL!!
