well, it is a two way street. selling a cd to stores at 12 bucks is being pretty greedy right there. we aint mad at the stores. it is the industry who doesnt seem to want to meet us half way

I luv... Independent stores like... Rasputins & Amoeba...

Most cds are like $12-$15 on avg but u can always find deals with their used stuff and bargain bins....

Used cds are usually $3-$10 and there's a lot of good stuff in there in good quality too

I dont deal with chain stores to much...unless I'm buyin' mags...holla at the independents there more in the know and willin' to help folks out...

THE REASON FOR THAT IS BEST BUY MAKES MOST OF THEIR MONEY ON ELECTRONICS,GAMES,APPLIANCES AND SHIT.. SO THEY COULD AFFORD TO SELL CDS FOR THE DIRT.. MOMS AND POPS RELY ON ALBUMS SELLS BUT I RATHER SHOP AT A MOMS AND POPS STORE, BEST BUY ONLY SELLS COMMERCIAL RAP MOMS AND POPS SELL UNDERGROUND HARD TO FIND SHIT AND COMMERCIAL SO THE HAVE A LITTLE LEVERAGE OVER CHAIN STORES...

circuit city and best buy lose money selling cds at 7.99 and 6.99 but the increased business it brings in for other merchandise pays for it in the long run.

i will never feel badly about downloading, burning, or even selling cd's

maybe we'll get back to love being the strict motivation of hip hop artists. not a buck. its a fucking hustle anymore and all the rappers i hear refer to the rap game as a hustle, ill do my best to sell a bootleg of your shit before someone can cop it at the store.

you may not like how i feel but theres a lot more of me than you and its me youre asking money from. all im asking is decent product. peace

The only time I download songs is if I can't find the song on the album that might be out of print. I don't care what the price is at a store. I aint trying to save money. I get money to spend it on what I want and just get some more money when I see something else that I want. I'm not a cheapskate. But I do wish that the downloading programs would be stopped.

i'm a CD fanatic... i spend close to $300 a month on music...

I get my shit at a mom&pop's shop....I been going there for years..

so homeboy knows what i like... and gives me decent prices...


He also throws in posters...and a burned mixxed cd...

with remixes and unreleased material....


All i know is...once i pop out my first kid... all that going crazy on music..

will have to stop...


so i might as well...enjoy the spending while i can!...

hellz yea.. I moved out east and hit up the local FYE around here and that shit is ridiculous... I moved out here and wanted to get that LBI Album and figured I wouldn't be able to find it. I hit up FYE and looked around there just for the hell of it and they had that shiet at 19.99... now wtf is up wit that? That's hella crazy, and can't really get no bay or sac shiet anywhere else out here so gotta swoop it up there.. but shiet, aint like most foos on the eastcoast buy that bay shit so why they gotta charge so much? That shit is crazy. The used section got nice prices, but the other day i was lookin thru they got some crazy 70s rock shit and etcetera... dayum, shiet is horrible.

19.99 IS NOT BAD FOR A DOUBLE ALBUM WITH A DVD EVEN THOUGH I GOT MY COPY OF LBI FOR 13.99 AT SAM GOODY WHEN THE ALBUM FIRST DROPPED..
