I think the best thing for you guys to do is pick a spot where the mechanics look like cool ass people. I went to get my car smogged a couple years back and it failed, so I drove with expired tags for days. Finally after I get pulled over, (this is like 2 years later) I tok it to this place in CERES, a bunch a 20-30 Mexicans and a few black folks running it. Just for the hell of it I brought it in (cause I found a coupon) and the shit passed. I couldn't believe it. I told a friend of mine about it and he told me they keep running your tests until they pass. I did have a tuneup about a year prior, after having failed it the first time, but considering I could see black smoke coming from the exhaust the day I took it in, I don't think it was the cause for my car passing.

Just roll it into a low budget place where the people don't look like assholes and tell them you failed it twice already and you're hoping it will pass. Not as if to bribe the guy but that youre life will be in ruins if it doesn't pass. Honesty that is your best shot.

What do you have to lose.

Oh yeah, the money to test it... find a coupon.

u must have a souped up engine or somethin cuz a car that wont pass smog is nothing but a rolling pile of parts


my boy had one of the sickest fiftys ive been in..... it wouldnt pass smog no matter what he did.........ended up partin it out

YEAH THEY CHECK THE SENSORS TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT MISSING, MODIFIED OR DISCONNECTED....
THEY CHECK FOR THE 4 GASES ( HC,CO,NOX AND CO2 ) . IF YOU FAIL FOR HC AND/or CO A TUNE UP CAN HELP BY REDUCIN MISFIRES AND GETTIN COMPLETE COMBUSTION OUT OF EACH CYLINDER.
