i think the heart of this argument lies in the discussion of Nurture v. Nature. I think that overall acceptance of homosexuality has given homos a chance to reveal their true colors. But on the other hand, this level of acceptance does allow heteros the "freedom" to experiment, and choose homosexuality because it suits them better, not because of any inherent genetic trait. Basically, I don't think its entirely one or the other.

If they choose homosexuality then they weren't fully hetero to begin with, in my opinion. Probably bisexual and curious. But I see your point. A lesbian brought up in a straight household would probably marry a man and have a family, and always feel like something was wrong. And she'd probably be depressed. Just as a straight man forced to be with a gay man would probably feel odd.

I start work in 9 days, at a bank. And I'm going to be tired as shit all of the time. I'm a roving teller, so I'll be substituting at other banks all over the county they put me in. The furthest bank is an hour away. I haven't fallen asleep at the wheel yet, but if I gotta get up at 5 to get out by 6 to get to work at 7 for a week or two, I may be beat. I am tired thinking about it. I won't have access to these wonderful forums while I am at work either.

Roving teller, huh? Can you get me some free samples of money?
The worst was when I was working and going to school. Woke up at 4:45am to be at work at 6am, worked until 3pm, school at 5pm to 10pm. I seriously wanted to kill myself. I have very little memory of that period of my life.

Damn, this is totally off point, but...

Shea, I am listening to music on my laptop and I just noticed that it looks like the girl in your sig is dancing along, hahaha, and that had me like staring for 5 minutes. She's bouncing to the beat.

Sorry, it just happened and I was so enthralled.

Or, could it be that subconsciously you just wanted to stare at her breasts, and the way you tried to justify staring at her breasts was telling yourself that the music “went along with them?”

So CannibalCrow, tell us, was that a choice or was that biological? lol, j/p

Haha, I stare at women a lot while I am not inclined to run off and date one. I think it's because I wish I had tits that big and a body like that. I'm an artist, by hobby only because I can't seem to find an art job besides drawing tats on paper for people, and I appreciate the female body. I think it's beautiful. Someday I may post some of my art in the Art Forum here of shit I've done, though it's not album related. Just pictures of ladies, haha.

Let me just say this: if it was a choice, that means any man here can just drop his instinctive feelings and attractions toward women and direct them toward other men. So are you guys saying that you are capable of making that choice yourself. I know I cant, thus causing me believe that it is not a choice. The ones who think it is possible to flip like that are afraid that they might be able to have a choice in the matter. Hmmmmm.

lol you dont think there has been men and women that has done that before, choosen to sleep with a person of the same gender? they are usually the ones that say they are bisexual or they "wanted to experienment"...

and i know you're probably gonna say that doesnt necessarily make them gay.. for some reason people think being gay and bisexual is two different things, but if you sleep with the same gender that makes you gay, you can't justify just cause they sleep with the opposite gender too

Goddam this thread went hellla long...

anyway, @ 2-0-Sixx, bro, HOW MANY studies have been conducted outside of the U.S? I asked that question like, 5 pages ago. You talk about all the countless studies that have been done for scientific purposes so post them up. Please provide some proof apart from a weblog.

As far as the whole "gross factor", yea it is nasty, but it's also unnatural. Am I grossed out by two women being together? No, but I still think it's UNNATURAL. The female figure is a beautiful thing and of course I'm not gonna be grossed out by it, but I still think it's unnatural. Can they reproduce if they wanted to? No they cannot, therefore, it's not natural.

On the same line of thinking, I don't think lesbians should raise children any more than gay men should raise children. As far as the single parent thing goes, It's more natural for a single parent to raise a kid than two parents of the same gender in my opinion.

Like I said before, I don't think it's a biological thing, but IF it is then it goes along the same lines as serial killers: a genetical fuck up. @ 2-0-Sixx you use a lot of exaggerated analogies in your arguments, and I'm using one to get my point across. There are serial killing monkeys, sea lions, dogs, etc etc etc. Just because they are found in other species doesn't mean it's perfectly normal, and healthy.

For the record, I'm not a crazed religous zealot. My stance has nothing to do with religion, morals, or anything aside from homosexuality being unnatural. Just to make everything clear, as I stated in my original post, gay folks can do whatever they want as long as it's not infringing on MY freedoms. However, I do not think they should be able to raise a child because I believe it infringes on that child's freedoms.

Of course he is. I've known two lesbians in my lifetime who've turned to homosexuality due to hatred of men, not due to attraction. At least one of them posts on the siccness occasionally. It's a choice.
