did u guys read that article on HYPHY INC responds to e-40??? they some gay ass niggas... talkin some dumb shit bout how "kMEL never played 40 until they started playin mac dre" bullshit... cuz sprinkle me, hurricane, one night stand, gasoline and many more have been played way b4 they started platin thizzle dance.... also they talkin bout how keak and 40 dont have each other on their top friends list?????? honestly hyphy inc? u really think 40 and keak give a fuck whos on their top 8? they dont even run their myspaces... u think they be cryin like some little girls and call each other like..." ay keak, i was online checkin my myspace comments and i seen your top 8 man, i aint even on it? wtf? i thought we was coo? i put u on my song and shit and u cant even put me, 40 fonzarelli, on ur top 8? well the beef is on...and im takin u off my top 8" cmon now?

How many of you guys have actually done business with 40 and/or know 40 personally? I am sorry but there is slight truth to "HYPHY INC." claims and opionions.
One can say that E-40 doesn’t need to hate on other artist but in fact he does. He suppresses them. By suppress I mean he has the connections at radio. When you’re in good with the radio station and other artist know that it’s easier for them to get play because you have connections people tend to laugh at your stale jokes and really don’t tell you how they feel about you because they want to get some airplay which is real hard to get in the bay area. If E-40 wasn’t cool with KMEL bay area artist would be talking bad about E-40. People did not start PLAYING E-40 in the bay until Mac Dre PASSED and he appeared on the radio. Take him off the air and see how many people still laugh and joke with him, it would be more like laugh at him. E-40 knows people like his position with the station AND not him as a person because the streets don’t know him. We don’t see him.
For all this love he says he got for the bay E-40 did not show up at the BAY AREA RAP AWARDS last year. The light was not on him it was on others like KEAK and Mac Dre. E-40 couldn’t benefit from it so he didn’t show plus no one was bumping him and he was not on the radio AT THE TIME. The Bay got no support from E-40. But now that Dre has passed and he has radio pull GUESS WHO’S BACK!!!
To me SOME of E-40's music is timeless but that still doesnt change anyones opinion of him personally and how he conducts himself and his business, and how he goes about his business and relationships with people. 40 holds the most weight in the BAY, so of course a majority of BAY artists are going to respect and pay homage to him because when it come down to it 40 can pull all the strings to put you on because he is in the best position to do so. What better reference is there in the BAY besides 40? Other than maybe Too $hort? But even then 40 holds way more weight. Niggas will debate for years when this "HYPHY" shit surfaced, we all know the definition of "HYPHY" has been watered the fuck down. "HYPHY" used to be a term TO ME PERSONALLY and alot of other people to refer to some shit you wouldnt even want to be around. (i.e "man i aint goin there niggas is hyphy) eventually the shit flip to a culture, a sound... which I honestly think 'dre birthed. While dre, keak etc. was making party music, where was 40? 40 wasnt making "HYPHY" music... yeah he featured on HYPHY with Federation, he may of featured on a few other "HYPHY" sounding tracks I may not recall, but it's not like he was blueprinting himself and his own personal sound to be "HYPHY". Our focus was on Mac Dre primarly, and E-40 knew that. First song E-40 made when he realized he needed to hop on that "HYPHY" wagon, was DOORS OPEN that he premiered on his Radio show and ended up being on SICK WIT IT UMBRELLA, and they premiered Turf Talks SLUMPER the same day. Listen to SICK WIT IT UMBRELLA and tell me if that album was leaning anywhere towards the HYPHY MOVEMENT? Who executivley produced that album maybe? E-40???? Shit around that time DRE was killin the BAY with party music and HYPHY shit, what was E-40 doin??? He wasnt talkin bout DOORS OPEN, DANCIN ON ROOFS, THIZZIN, ETC. around that time DRE was! Thats when I realized E-40 knew he needed to hop on some HYPHY shit to get his listeners back, he started featuring on all these other peoples tracks and seeing the response. Mistah FAB blew the BAY open with Super Sik Wit It when he came out. So E-40 flipped it and made that DUMMY RETARDED song. Had his lil son make Bay Bridges a album with more of a HYPHY sound. Probably seen the response Turf was gettin from Street Novelist and His second album....
