Remember the HP Slate, the upcoming Windows 7-powered tablet that we first saw during Microsoft's CES keynote back in January? Well, we just got more details on HP's would-be iPad killer, thanks to a new, official teaser video and Engadget's decidedly unofficial series of leaked specs.

The last time we saw the Slate was in the hands of Steve Ballmer during a rather tepid presentation in Las Vegas, with Ballmer showing off the Kindle reader and struggling a bit as he tried to tee up a video. But HP has clearly stepped up its game, starting with this snazzy 30-second teaser video that makes a point of showing off all the features on the Slate that are missing on the iPad, such as a *built-in camera, a USB port (a real one, not an adapter), and an SD card slot.*

Wow I love the features which are not found in Ipad. This will surely give Steve a head ache.

I want to have this shit projected on my walls!!

I've seen them use this on the news and do all kinds of crazy stuff with it.

Shame on Steve Jobs for not putting on a camera or USB in the first place. Same thing with his stance on flash video - he doesn't like it, so its not on the iPhone or iPad.

Even though this looks nice, Apple is a better company because they make quality software. Unless the OS on the Slate is the most immaculate piece of programming ever made, my guess is it won't even come close to an Apple OS.

theres also the gemini, runs on android OS

hp slate is cheaper (much cheaper about 229 bucks cheaper when comparing the top of the line models, but the only down fall is the 5hr battery life vs 10 hr from ipad.
