D4L (#1 video Bet, and Top 10 video MTV) did about 70k the first week with way more spins than E-40 and they're from the south. The Federation did 5k the first week on Virgin 20k total sales. Most recently The Franchize (tons of airplay)Boyz did 100k the first week(#1 Bet and Top 5 MTV). They also dropped 2 videos before the Album released. E-40 will do between 40k-50k the first week if he's lucky. He needs a smash follow-up to even touch 200k Total Sales. Be realistic. I know this Shit. I emailed Virgin before the Federation dropped and told them it was a flop(I could have saved them atleast 200k).

E-40> Federation <D4L<Da Franchize Boyz

???????>5k <70k<100k therefore

E-40<70k(D4L)<100k(Franchize Boyz) You get it fools?

what you fail to mentoin is d4l and DFB are STILL selling 35k a week, i believe d4l just hit 400k. d4l wasn't an established act, they weren't expected to put up gaudy first week numbers.

I spoke on first week sales because 40 has an established sales record and fan base therfore he only has at max 200k loyal buying fans. 40 is not a new artist and will not have the south behind him as he has had in past years. Both of these other acts can continue selling because of their southern support and their ability to tour (ala black colleges) and tons of clubs including the spins in the titty bars. Radio is :( also cheaper in the southern regions. Lets face it. The south no longer supports Westcoast Music. They have their own heroes. Times have changed.

Thats true. that being said, he did get 8ball, mjg, mike jones, and some fresh UGK on this - ive hear that tell me when to go is getting club spin, and i can see southerners liking this album. we'll see - all i know is lil jon would not be pushing this project like this if he doesn't expect to do numbers... hell 40 has alot of fans that haven't bought a new 40 cd in 5 years just because none of his singles have made any noise

40's last album did about 150k and he got dropped from Jive. So what makes you think a gold record is plausable?
He has a lot more momentum and more promotion and better records this time out. He should land in the top 5 when he drops.

The second single/video will be real important. That track Yee is the shit, I think they should go with this one. Whether they do or not, they need to pick a strong second single and play the fuck out of it, and then I can definitely can see it go gold, possibly platinum (not first week of course).

The 2nd Single is officially U an Dat (feat. T-Pain). Wild 949 is already playing it. T-Pain gets a lil annoying but the track grows on you. 40's last album didnt get no love from Jive. There was little to no promotion from that. Lil Jon is promoting the fuck out this album and it should do way better than his last. Go cop it the 14th. If you have a downloaded copy already ... Go cop it anyway.

100+ in first week. ALBUmS DON"T SELL ANYMORE regardless if it is an artist from the Yay or anywere. Tell me when to go is still a groing single It is only #72 on the billboard hot 100 but thats like 16 jumps from last week. MTV is really helping the cause everymoring 4 I go 2 work or school I turn on MTV and for the past week the video has been comin on all the time. Plus after every one of there shows they sow the clip of the video as a spankin new video. It will go platnium.

I believe that he will barley go plat, I have faith in this project. Ya'll just don't know how hard it is to actually go plat and if 40 pulls it off that shit will be amazing. He'd be the best come back story since Nas.
