how many sac cd's came out per year during the 1998-2003 era compared to now?

yeah its like back in the day, there was REAL independent music. people had to cop the cd, so these small, frequent releases were at least breaking even, if not even putting money towards the next project. nowadays, people are just downloading, so its not even worth the money to try and press cds, so they just do "mixtapes." a hip-hop trickle down theory. however, these old cds were worth the money u spent on em, these "mixtapes" that come out now probably get 3 and 1/2 minutes of listening time when and if i choose to listen to them.
