How many of you go to college?

i only do research on normal processing, and only with adults. i do MRI stuff, imaging the brain to see how learning second languages changes its structure, and also i look at the current the brain generates while doing different types of linguistic tasks, which gives you a decent idea of what types of brain activity are ocuring during those tasks.
i read 'the language instinct' when i was in highschool, its actually one of the things that go me interested in psycholinguistics, and it was great, and i read 'how the mind works' (which is the most arrogantly titled book ever) and thought it was decent. It's hard for me to read pop science in my field these days as the simplicity annoys me, so i havent looked at his newer stuff, its gotten lambasted by literary critics, is it any good?

University of New Mexico majoring in nursing. The wackest university in the nation when it comes to partying or having fun. Nobody listens to hip hop here. All the girls are the hollister/abercrombie type that won't holler unless you wear your collar up. Or the super serious student that's trying to get straight A's so she can get into pharmacy or med school.
im @ foothill college right now bout to take statistics so i can get the fuck up out of there, and hopefully be in state by january..i applied to chico, sj state, san luis obispo, long beach, and la state..im a business double major with a concentration in accounting and corporate management (im (trying to be) rich bitch!)

1. Go find two of your friends who have nothing else to do but hang on to your every word. It would be best if one of them has connections at radio shack/ bes buy or a similar store. The other must be a drunk.
2. Rent a small house. Go to your AS department and register as a frat. It MUST be a fake frat so as to not arouse suspicion from other chapters in the area.
3. Throw kick ass parties whilst at the same time pissing of the dean.
4. Realize that life isn't all about partying and then come to terms that those abercrombie/hollister girls girls you fucked since you became big man on campus aren't what makes you happy, but rather your bestfriend who happens to be a girl.

same here. in my third year, studying Creative Writing but starting to realize it may not be my thing. i like writing stories, and fiction, but all the classes and shit im involved is just full of WEIRDOS. comic book reading, sci fi writing, shitty poetry writing, techno/electronica listening to...that sorta shit..not too many people writing the type of shit i like, but oh well. i should graduate on time, in a year in a half. sf state is cool, i like the campus and the classes a LOT, but good friends are kinda hard to find on campus...about the girls, some days there are some fine girls, and others i cant find ONE...but it's gonna be a dope school in about 5 years, cuz theyre making the area around the school more for students. and when i turn 21, im not gonna trip over not makin friends at school cuz im gonna be goin out to bars and there are a lot of students at bars in the city.
That's why it is EXACTLY your thing - think of all the bullshit books these wankers will be pumping out when they graduate - who will seriously want to read weird ass sci-fi comic books? You will stand out as the one true author who writes books that people want to actually read. If you're serious about writing, then theres nothing stopping you from shining like a diamond among a mound of sci fi writing, shitty poetry writing, techno/electronica listening dirt.
Still can't get over the fact that you have to be 21 before you can drink. We can legally start drinking at 18 (and theres so many 15 year olds sneaking into pubs that you gotta be careful not to get done for underage sex!).
