Woman smashes through west side neighborhood with SUV

Driver Lisa Coffman has been booked on charges of DUI liquor, failure to maintain a travel lane, no proof of insurance, and failure to surrender registration. Coffman, who has no prior criminal record, smashed through a neighborhood early Monday morning with her SUV. No injuries are reported, but damage is extensive in the neighborhood near Charleston and Hualapai.

Authorities say the woman crashed her Ford Expedition into several vehicles and at least two homes. When her vehicle stopped, she tried to run, but residents held her until police arrived.

Southwest Gas had to shut off a gas line at one home for repairs. Coffman also hit a cable box, knocking out cable in the neighborhood.
