So let me get this straight...... The defense won 2 games, but Vince Young single handedly won 8........ They lost 8 games as well....... So that means their record must have been 12-8 because Volek was in there for the 2 wins your boy Jesse mentioned......... Kinda crazy since the season is only 16 games long.

I watched almost every single one of their games this season because I wanted to check out Vince Young's progress. The defense is responsible for more than 2 wins, but how would you know? You only watch highlights on the news.

you musta been watchin in your own world playboy cuz that shit never went down. i never seen dude avoid contact like that. you tryna make him out to be a pussy. all the analysts and announcers are always yappin bout how he's a tough individual and when he was on the niners his coaches were advicing him to go down before he gets hit. dude normally dove head first like steve young used to do. the only knock on dude is lack of arm strength but that shit aint much of a factor in a west coast offense.

when garcia was a niner there were 2 groups on niner fans..... the ones who liked him because of the way he plays, and the ones who hated on him for personal reasons. this quick dude is obviously in the 2nd category.

and whoever said every good qb has had a good surrounding cast is right.

He also ran 83 times for 552 yards and 7 TDs

Point being he did not single-handedly win all 7 of those games with him as a QB stricly because he was the QB. He is not GOOD just yet. He will be IMO, but he is not yet. He's decent with his legs, but as a QB he is not on the level you two think he is.

They never released him. They made him a bogus offer that was insulting to him after what he had done for SF. They were offering him such a small amount to stay it was hard for him to even consider the possibility of staying. I mean shit, he went to the Pro Bowl 3 times, took the franchise from the dumps and helped lead them back into the playoffs.. Then they make a whack offer? That's why he walked, and all he would say is that he was "looking after himself this time." Nobody knew exactly what he meant by that, but I know because I know his family.



Owens and Garcia left the squad the same year. They were thinking about who to keep and who to bounce, and they ended up losing both of them. They offered Garcia next-to-nothing and then they went and traded Owens away. The next year they were 2-14.

Damn is my memory that chiefed out? Did they really leave the same year? Didn't Rattay take the QB reins for a lil bit while Owens was still there. Or was that just when Garcia was injured for a couple week stint. And If I remember right they might have benched him for Rattay before, I could be wrong as much shit as I been slippin on. Cuze when you mention it you right bout the contract part. I guess I just felt like they released him cuze it was such a fucked up situation, and it was dirty how they did him. Shit this was only 3-4 years ago too, and my memory is already fadin, I'm normally good with that shit.
