how would it be offensive if someone of another race says it, but not when someone blacks says it...if you feel that it would be offensive, no matter who's saying it, if you take it back to where it came from it was always a word of disrespect...
i'm black and i use the word every, not as much as i use to a few years ago, but i use it...and i also have a white friend that uses the word, but i tell him that he needs to what how and when he uses it when he's around people that he don't know...he uses the shit a lot and i could say that he uses it too much, but it doesn't bother me that he uses it when he's around me...and he also raps and i tell him that he needs to stop using it in his raps or only use it when absolutley needed (which shouldn't be much, if at all)...this is just my opinion on the topic and the word...everybody has their own opinion...
