does anyone know if you should get a specific QUALITY of rgb cable? i dont really know about it like that, but i see some are gold plated etc etc

is paying more for a cable going to help protect my tv?

What do you mean "protect your TV"?

I would guess it doesn't really matter just like it doesn't matter for HDMI cables.

That way it doesn't burn an image to your tv.
^^^ from things of the sort and other assorted issues i know nothing about

for all i know gold plated rgb cables can protect from that type of thing, im not exactly a engineer or a pro at a/v so i have to ask questions.

The cables shouldn't have anything to do with screen burn. Keeping a repetitive image in the same place for an extended period of time is what causes screen burn.

Look and see if you can find a cable for the sharp model. You may have to find a software patch.
that has nothing to do with it. it may be a confusion on which cable to get SVGA or VGA.

they look almost EXACTLY the same but you have to pay attention to the type of cable your PC takes and the TV takes. i know my mini takes a VGA cable and my TV takes a VGA cable.

Does your TV have a pc input on it? DVI or VGA if so don't even use the RGBs. If you have a DVI port for your graphics card then you can get a DVI-HDMI adapter and still get good quality resolutions. If your TV doesn't really support PC resolutions the graphics wont look very great, especially with RGBs.

I haven't used a regular monitor in forever, I can't stand sitting at a computer desk so sitting on the couch using my pc is way more comfortable. Not to mention playing old ROMs is the shit with it hooked up like that and having a huge music playlist, always hooked up to my surround sound set on shuffle, that can play for hours without having to press skip is nice. Yea but definitely need wireless mouse and keyboard for it to be efficient.

Ya if you got a pc input then you are straight. You should check out your manual and see exactly what resolutions it supports for PC because some of them are different and don't always support your full resolutions or they have weird resolutions specifically for PCs.
