Harrison is a better route runner and has better hands. Don't let the fact that Holt got to 10,000 yards quicker and his bobbling catch fool you. Whether Peyton Manning is Harrison's QB or not doesn't matter. Any decent QB can get the ball to Marvin because he has such crisp route running ability and the knack to get open.

Holt does everything harrison does and more. Holt is better against the defender and harrison is slightly better in the open field. If i had to make a championship team i'd pick holt but if i wanted better numbers i'd pick harrison.

So im confused...his 10,000 yards are a fluke? Is that what youre getting at?

Im not taking anything away from Marvin...but he DOES have the best QB in the leagye throwing to him...his name is Torry "Big Game" Holt for nothing...he makes BIG plays....

Is no coincidence that BEFORE Peyton got to the league...Marvin's numbers were NEARLY as good as they are AFTER he got there(minus Peyton's rookie year)

Pre-Peyton:

YR TEAM GMS REC YDS AVG LNG TDs

1996 IND 16 64 836 13.1 41 8 43
1997 IND 16 73 866 11.9 44 6 46

Post-Peyton:

YR TEAM GMS REC YDS AVG LNG TDs

1998 IND 12 59 776 13.2 61 7(Peyton's rookie year)
1999 IND 16 115 1663 14.5 57 12
2000 IND 16 102 1413 13.9 78 14
2001 IND 16 109 1524 14.0 68 15
2002 IND 16 143 1722 12.0 69 11
2003 IND 15 94 1272 13.5 79 10
2004 IND 16 86 1113 12.9 59 15
2005 IND 15 82 1146 14.0 80 12
2006 IND 5 32 442 13.8 38 1

Now....heres Torry's numbers from his rookie year til now:

YR TEAM GMS REC YDS AVG LNG TDs

1999 STL 16 52 788 15.2 63 6
2000 STL 16 82 1635 19.9 85 6
2001 STL 16 81 1363 16.8 51 7
2002 STL 16 91 1302 14.3 58 4
2003 STL 16 117 1696 14.5 48 12
2004 STL 16 94 1372 14.6 75 10
2005 STL 14 102 1331 13.0 44 9
2006 STL 6 37 526 14.2 67 7

I will agree that Marvin is a good route runner...and they both have great hands...Marvin has more TD's...but Torry has more yds...these stats dont show 1st downs,1st downs on 3rd down conversions,GW TD's....all that shit that means something as far as recievers....

And Torry doesnt have to GET open ot make the great catch....as seen on Sunday...

Plus....we dont know what life would be like WITHOUT Peyton for Marvin....so i feel the numbers could be different....

Torry has played under Warner,Green and Bulger....those are NO Peyton's....

Its hard to say...they both do what they do...and they do it well...but to say "dont let his 10,000 yards decieve you"....fact is...HE GOT TO 10,000 YDS THE FASTEST IN NFL HISTORYb....thats no slouch..and with no name QB's....
