IF YOU LOOK CLOSE U CAN SEE OLD DJ PIMP ON THE GOLD CARPET AT THE PRE SHOW WITH ROB BASE, T.I. AND DANA DANE. SHIT WAS DOPE AS FUCK IN PERSON CAUSE THE ENERGY WAS SUPER CRAZY, BUT IT WASNT THAT GREAT ON TV. BIG DADDY KANE KILLED IT. WE PERFORMED WITH HIM AT HIS AFTER PARTY AND HE WENT ON FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF OF SOLID HITS. AS FAR AS THE OTHER PERFORMERS MY GIRLS SALT N PEPA WERE DOPE, AND MY HOMIES THE FURIOUS 5 WERE ALSO TIGHT. IT WAS A GREAT SHOW, THE BEST I'VE EVER BEEN TO, AND THIS IS COMIN FROM A CAT WHO WAS AT THE FIRST FRESH FESTIVAL IN 1985 WITH THE FAT BOYS, WHODINI, RUN/DMC, NUCLEUS AND MANY OTHERS.... DAMN I'M AN OLD BASTARD.

They showed Ice T love, and for some reason, it really cracked me up when he holla'd out "Westside"..it kinda sounded like my dad doin it!! Snoop had ZERO energy. I only watched a little bit of it, but the parts I saw were pretty cool. LL looked EXCELLENT!!! and it looked like he was having a blast!!

I'm pretty sure that in the years to come, they will pay tribute to Too Short. Its kinda like a "Hall of Fame" thing, they can't do it all at once, or they won't have anyone to honor next year......

I only watched the last hour of it but I was surprised that it was pretty good. You have to be a HIP-HOP fan to appreciate it (not just rap from any one area). I thought it would be wack considering VH-1 did it, but it wasn't.

If you watched it and you know about the old school you would love it. If you didn't grow up in that era you would just think it was some crap. Grandmaster Flash and the ferious five were the shit. The whole show brought back memories. I even watched it twice.

its a hip hop honors paying homage to the cats who started this shit (with the exception of biggie). so if you were watchin it to see bay area or westcoast in general, try to remember that nyc had it several years before we got it out west. this was a show for old school heads and artists who sold hella records. were you expecting to see a regional cat who nobody ever heard of except us in the bay. it was a show to pay respect to legends who opened the door to all your favorite new rappers.
