Some of you guys dont even know it but it's very true! Pac is the most overrated musician of all time, next to Elvis, Bob Marley, & Michael Jackson!!!

I like his music, but to tell you the truth, I was never inspired by his legacy...

I still do have a lot of his cds, well mostly his old stuff but I cant no longer bump his music out loud anymore!

Why???

Because everyone else bumps all his music...

So thats why I gotta move on & keep exploring for more music to listen to...

I was actually more inspired by other artists like Brotha Lynch, Esham & NATAS, E-40, Tech N9ne, Three 6 Mafia, Geto Boys, K-Rino & whole array of other underground rappers that most people can hardly ever get access to......

Cus he has an opinion?
2 Pac is way better than Jay Z...
If it was Pacs best day and Jay's worse....2Pac would still get embarrassed lyrically...

i bump Pac over Jay anyday
And thats your choice...i think Pac is overrated on the highest pedastole...the man gets more praise than he deserves....

I find it funny that most people don't seem realise that Pac was more or less the West Coast mid 90's version of 50 Cent (minus the snitching.)

I like some of Pac's music (Me Against the World is a classic album) but he is highly overrated.

Pac is a legend yes...but the best ever? Not even close.

Pac was a martyr for the idea that you don't have to conform, that's why he's loved so much. He did what everyone else thinks about but is too scared to do. He fought against 'the system' and didn't give a fuck. He didn't want people, no matter what color, to be oppressed and he acted out against it.

If you've ever paid attention to what he's said in his interviews, he wasn't a gangsta, wasn't a drug dealer, wasn't a real thug, or a killer, or any of that but he knew what all those things were. He wasn't anything other then a person who loved people in general and knew how to connect with them on their level. He didn't have to live their lives to feel their pain because he had compassion. He made people feel comfortable and he was someone everybody can relate to in one way or another.

That's why he's loved. People gravitate towards him because of his persona, not because he was some lyrical monster or super-rapper, because he wasn't. Musicially, he isn't in my top 10 either, not by a long shot so in that sense I agree that he is overrated, but he was/is undeniably a person of importance to a whole lotta people.

Dude said MC Eiht, dude has the most worn out flow ever.

Eiht murdered wax long before pac did homie, get your knowledge up.

Its a Compton Thang, Straight Checkn'em, and Music To Drive-By slay every pac cd (MY OPINION).

He was a coo GANGSTA rapper...but he never had no tight punchlines or metaphors....and he even has a unorthodox flow....Pac at least sounded RIGHT on the mic....

Im still in shock that you think Eiht is a tight "MC"....its absolutely mind blowing...no wonder no one respects your opinions!!!

^^^If I was worried about other people on here I would get a bulletproof vest.

See on Eihts CMW cds there was real lyrics. Check them out if you havent heard before. Its a Compton Thang was real lyrical. It had the whole 9 punhlines, flows, Mcing, Gangsta Shit, and good Word play. After Death Threats I didnt really bump all that much. But at least Eiht is real. I mean hes not a sell out fag.

Oh well thats me.

I BOUGHT Its A Compton Thang! when it CAME out....i hade the TAPE....i had the first 3 albums on tape...Music To Driveby being my favorite....but i bought em cus it was just gritty gangsta shit....not cus he was givin Rakim a run for his money...

Yes...IACT! was his best "lyrical" output of his young career....but to say his one of the best MC's ever????WHOA dude...thats some outlandish shit....to say hes AS good as people like Rakim or Ras Kass....now youre just being silly...even DJ QUIK lyrically slaughtered him....and he aint even that tight himself!!!!!Hes a fuckin DJ and PRODUCER for gods sake...

In a battle...MC Eiht would cry....

THats like sayin Weird Al Yankovic is as good as Nirvana...

Those courses study his poetry writings, not the lyrics to California Love homie.

I don't waste my time pretending to know or wonder what it would be like if Pac were still alive. I'm not a day-dreamer like that. Anyways, it's no suprise people think Pac was/is the greatest. Read my previous post in here and you'll know why.
