For one reason or another, a song on my iPod is only playing 4 seconds through and then going to the next song. It plays just fine from the OG file on my comp, from iTunes, and even from the iPod via iTunes....but it wont play correctly on the iPod itself when unattached from iTunes. I have tried deleting it from iTunes, reloading it, and reloading it on the iPod...nothing.

I have triple checked to see if the file is currupt on the PC, if the info is right, if the song plays from 0:00 to the alloted time...nothing is off.

Anyone ever have this problem?

I've had the problem, but got so frustrated with it I said fuck it and downloaded a different copy of the song - now it plays fine.

Never bothered to figure out why though.

If you think its with the actual Ipod take it to the Apple Store. My shit was all fucked up and I had some questions and no one had a real good answer. Took my Ipod to the Apple Store, dude said "your shit's fucked up" and gave me a new Ipod.

Everytime i have problems with any MP3 file i just re-encode it and that always works.

Right click it in ITunes and click convert to MP3, and load up the new one...or just use any other Mp3 encoder and re-encode it...problem will be solved.

Last time I went to an apple store, we had to "log in" on a puter for help, then a guy told us we'd probably have to wait about a half hour before we could see anybody for help.

Fuck that, it was just a docking bay/charging problem. We just bought a new 20$ docking bay and problem was fixed. 20$ is worth a LOT less than half an hour in an Apple store, even if it turns out to be free.

You need to schedule an appointment with them. I guess you can do so online. I just walked into the store and was like I need a technician to look at my IPod. Then they scheduled me for the next day, walked in there, didnt wait more than 30 seconds after my appointment, and it took me ten minutes to get a new Ipod. Try scheduling. On another note, that's crazy you didn't get good customer service. After the customer service I got on my IPod I wanted to buy an Apple Computer!!!

I dont use an iPod or iTunes

Fuck that problem-filled, system-lagging bullshit program

I physically shut down all iTunes/iPod related processes before I play games (I only have it for my roommate)

Get a non-Apple MP3 player...

I cant. iPod makes the largest capacity MP3 player on the market by far. Everyone else has a max of 80 GB and i have 107 GB's of music. Trust me, if Creative made one that big, I would be on it so fuckin fast.
