Apply pressure, how you go about this is hitting them both with a golf club and releasing some of that moisture.

whats happened is called "oxidizing." theres a couple of ways to go about it. u can use sandpaper, nail polish remover, polishing/rubbing compound, etc. just google it, u should come up with several methods of how to do it. but basically it needs to be "scraped" clean.

always amazes me how many people would rather come here and ask a question like this rather than just google it.

Go to auto zone or kragen look for Meguiars PlastX or Plexus. No matter what, in time they will just fade from the sun and you will have buy eventually buy new ones.

If they are heavily oxidated, I'd reccomend using a reallllllllllllllly high grit sand paper and doing some wet sanding to remove the layers. After that you want to use some some swirl mark remover and buff/wax the fuck out of them. I followed the directions this dude posted one time on a car forum I go to, if I can find it I'll post them again.
