The Brotherhood Without Banners were originally meant to protect the people; however in the books they basically became murderous outlaws under the lead of Lady Stoneheart, going around and killing anyone that had anything to do with a Lannister or Frey anyone who helped them in any way, even if they just let Lannister soldiers stay at their village. There was no grey area either even if they were forced to, they were murdered or hung. Basically Catelyn Stark is a huge cunt before death and after, completely retarded
So was anyone in that group apart of the red wedding? Otehrwise, they just killed them for fun...i guess thats what i should have posted.

The Hound = Joffrey's Dog and loyal to the Lannisters. They were seen with The Hound therefore they must die / hang.

Like I said there's no grey area. There's no "things have changed" it's basically "They must all die".

So either there's been a change in leadership (Lady Stoneheart), or basically they just kind of fell apart in the aftermath of the war and are out to serve themselves as outlaws now. Kind of like that speech that B-Buzz @B-Buzz linked where Brienne is sitting there chatting

“Ser? My lady?” said Podrick. “Is a broken man an outlaw?” “More or less,” Brienne answered. Septon Meribald disagreed. “More less than more. There are many sorts of outlaws, just as there are many sorts of birds. A sandpiper and a sea eagle both have wings, but they are not the same. The singers love to sing of good men forced to go outside the law to fight some wicked lord, but most outlaws are more like this ravening Hound than they are the lightning lord. They are evil men, driven by greed, soured by malice, despising the gods and caring only for themselves. Broken men are more deserving of our pity, though they may be just as dangerous. Almost all are common-born, simple folk who had never been more than a mile from the house where they were born until the day some lord came round to take them off to war. Poorly shod and poorly clad, they march away beneath his banners, ofttimes with no better arms than a sickle or a sharpened hoe, or a maul they made themselves by lashing a stone to a stick with strips of hide. Brothers march with brothers, sons with fathers, friends with friends. They’ve heard the songs and stories, so they go off with eager hearts, dreaming of the wonders they will see, of the wealth and glory they will win. War seems a fine adventure, the greatest most of them will ever know.

“Then they get a taste of battle.

“For some, that one taste is enough to break them. Others go on for years, until they lose count of all the battles they have fought in, but even a man who has survived a hundred fights can break in his hundred-and-first. Brothers watch their brothers die, fathers lose their sons, friends see their friends trying to hold their entrails in after they’ve been gutted by an axe.

“They see the lord who led them there cut down, and some other lord shouts that they are his now. They take a wound, and when that’s still half-healed they take another. There is never enough to eat, their shoes fall to pieces from the marching, their clothes are torn and rotting, and half of them are shitting in their breeches from drinking bad water.

“If they want new boots or a warmer cloak or maybe a rusted iron halfhelm, they need to take them from a corpse, and before long they are stealing from the living too, from the smallfolk whose lands they’re fighting in, men very like the men they used to be. They slaughter their sheep and steal their chickens, and from there it’s just a short step to carrying off their daughters too. And one day they look around and realize all their friends and kin are gone, that they are fighting beside strangers beneath a banner that they hardly recognize. They don’t know where they are or how to get back home and the lord they’re fighting for does not know their names, yet here he comes, shouting for them to form up, to make a line with their spears and scythes and sharpened hoes, to stand their ground. And the knights come down on them, faceless men clad all in steel, and the iron thunder of their charge seems to fill the world…

“And the man breaks.

“He turns and runs, or crawls off afterward over the corpses of the slain, or steals away in the black of night, and he finds someplace to hide. All thought of home is gone by then, and kings and lords and gods mean less to him than a haunch of spoiled meat that will let him live another day, or a skin of bad wine that might drown his fear for a few hours. The broken man lives from day to day, from meal to meal, more beast than man. Lady Brienne is not wrong. In times like these, the traveler must beware of broken men, and fear them…but he should pity them as well.”

When Meribald was finished a profound silence fell upon their little band. Brienne could hear the wind rustling through a clump of pussywillows, and farther off the faint cry of a loon. She could hear Dog panting softly as he loped along beside the septon and his donkey, tongue lolling from his mouth. The quiet stretched and stretched, until finally she said, “How old were you when they marched you off to war?”

“Why, no older than your boy,” Meribald replied. “Too young for such, in truth, but my brothers were all going, and I would not be left behind. Willam said I could be his squire, though Will was no knight, only a potboy armed with a kitchen knife he’d stolen from the inn. He died upon the Stepstones, and never struck a blow. It was fever did for him, and for my brother Robin. Owen died from a mace that split his head apart, and his friend Jon Pox was hanged for rape.”

“The War of the Ninepenny Kings?” asked Hyle Hunt.

“So they called it, though I never saw a king, nor earned a penny. It was a war, though. That it was.”

The soldier you're referring to and the person who we saw are two different people. They wanted to really hammer in that "The Hound" aka the "bad" part of Sandor Clegane that killed for gold, that backhanded Sansa because Joffrey told him to, that slaughtered untold amounts of people in battle, that was driven to drinking wine down like water etc. is dead. He gave up at the battle of blackwater when he turned his back on the king/ the lannisters. He gave up in the Inn when he gave that chicken speech and wanted to die then but didn't. He wanted Brienne to kill him but she didn't. He wanted Arya to kill him but she didn't. He was a broken man then and especially now. They're heavy handedly saying that he can't escape his fate, that he'll always just be a pawn to the gods and will remain alive until he fulfills his predestined fate.

The chopping wood / his homies getting murked was pretty sloppily done i have to say, it doesn't make sense he was basically right there but somehow they were all slaughtered and hanged in about ten seconds lol. But from a story telling standpoint it's kind of like that godfather scene...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UneS2Uwc6xw

Just look past the literal because it was sloppy you're right, but the message behind it is decent. He can't escape his sins / karma / fate whichever way you choose to look at it. And i think "The Hound" has returned, with new purpose and is going to wreck shit
I get what you're saying. There have been people who, after a life of killing, embrace pacifism. However, while they can curb the killing, they aren't going to curb their instinct, intuition and awareness of surroundings. And if you're one who can't escape your sins, you're going to always look over your shoulder and worry about when the past catches up to you. They just had this idiot chopping wood in the majority of the show and then he misses a massacre of over 30 people and a guy being hung, lol.

Also, I don't believe Jesus is the arya. The reason for this is Jesus is too skilled. Look at the kills he had earlier in the show. You think he would let a scrub get that close and shank him?

This show becomes more idiotic as time goes on and it'll only get worse.

I love how between every episode we get these crazy super deep theories then the shows just like "Nope lol" and everyones like "well now i feel pretty retarded". Like you could easily just say that the Jaqen at Harrenhall is not the same Jaqen (Jesus) that's training Arya, rather just wearing the face for the shows sake / Arya's sake. Or you could easily just say "well just becuase Arya is dominant left hand doesn't mean she has to do EVERYTHING with her left hand". Or easily dismiss pretty much every theory out there; we just have to wait until Sunday night but it's still fun exploring all this stuff

lol @ all the Bran time travelling theories and time paradox's that were being talked about a couple weeks ago that are nowhere to be found now

I was playing Witcher,3 last night, the expansion. And there is a little girl in this area...she says, is it true winter is coming? I have a sword named Needle. And then she says, can you use your sword with your left hand? Because I can!

Even witcher 3 with their Arya Easter egg got her being a southpaw right.

The Arya that got stabbed is the waif and not Jesus (made a typo in the previous post.) The waif doing the stabbing is either Jesus or Arya. You think Arya gives two flying fucks about a cabin? No, it was the waif, who was telling the truth about her family status, that would do such a thing. Arya was fuckin eatin pigeons and rats, she's a survivor and has been surviving all this time. She doesn't give a fuck about a cabin.

So why would the waif try to get a boat to Westeros? I don't know, why the fuck GRRM isn't finished with the series is what people should ask.
