??????????

are they going to do a bunch of flashback episodes or something?

grrm is a fucking sloth i told you guys lol, show writers are going to have to do some above and beyond shit to keep this ship from sinking
The talk is they'll explain what went down at the Tower of Joy to show how R+L=J. GOT did a flashback early in season 5 with Cersei and Maggy the frog, so we know they are willing to do flashbacks.

Also I heard GRRM said he's meeting with editors and publishers in August so I assume that means he's just about finished.

'Game Of Thrones': Bran Stark To Appear In Season 6

Isaac Hempstead Wright as Bran in 'Game of Thrones' (Helen Sloan/HBO)

After a season away, the character (the second to youngest Stark), who was last seen meeting the three-eyed raven after surviving a Wight attack, will be back in Season 6.

“I can’t say a lot but I am back this season," Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays the character, told the Irish Examiner.

"And it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions," the 16-year-old added.

As for the future of Jon Snow, who many fans continue to speculate will be resurrected by Melisandre despite his Julius Caesar-esque ending at the wall, Isaac knows nothing.

"I don't know," Isaac said of if Kit will return. "He said he's not.

"I wish he would because I love Kit and because the character's so cool," he added.

During Isaac's season off, he had a voice role in "Family Guy," and did the voice of Eggs in "The Boxtrolls."

Last time Access Hollywood spoke with Isaac, ahead of the Season 4 premiere of his HBO drama, we asked him if he'd like to see Bran end up on the Iron Throne – and his answer with a different sort of hope for his character.

"I hope, kind of, that Bran becomes a bad guy because I think it would be quite fun for him to sort of become one of the sort of White Walker leaders and charge down and basically reclaim everything as sort of the magical mystics," Isaac said at the time.

"Game of Thrones" resumes production later this month and returns to HBO next year.

Finally, Photographic Evidence that Kit Harington Has Joined the Cast of Game of Thrones in Belfast

Yesterday we posted a round-up of all the Game of Thrones actors who had been sighted in Belfast for the Season 6 script read-throughs. They included Emilia Clarke, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, and many more. But while there were rumors that Kit Harington had been spotted in the Game of Thrones home base in Northern Ireland, there was no proof yet. All that changed today when Watchers on the Wall, a site dedicated to all things Game of Thrones, posted photos of Harington arriving in the Belfast airport. The return of Jon Snow is turning into the worst-kept secret in TV history.

You can see another image of Harington’s arrival over on WoW that focuses on the actor’s on-trend man bun. Rest assured, these are taken in the Belfast airport—see this photo for comparison. And, despite the beard partially obstructing his face, that is Kit. He was seen with the same leather suitcase just a few days ago. We’re relieved to see him reunited with his Game of Thrones crew and we’re even more relieved to see his luscious, Stark-ish locks intact—even if they are tucked up into a man bun.

Does a Harington sighting in Belfast guarantee Jon Snow will return in any shape or form other than a stone-cold corpse? No, I suppose not. Charles Dance also spent some time filming in Belfast last year and all we got from Tywin in Season 5 were those crazy rock eyes.

But given all the other evidence mounting including casting news and exciting filming locations, well, the case for Jon Snow surviving the mutiny at the Wall grows stronger every day.

How many of you show watchers are taking the break to actually read the books? I know some of you were at different stages of book reading earlier this tv season. Some hadn't read anything yet.

I'm just finishing the last book (haven't had much time for reading lately, almost done though). Also recently picked up the cool History of Westeros book as well.

I'm guessing this means Book 6 drops before next season and they're buying him more time.
Winter will never come.

The first volume of the series, A Game of Thrones, was begun in 1991 and first published in 1996.
lol it's been two and a half decades this guy isn't even close to finishing this fucking story. jesus christ man. lesson learned never get invested in a book series that hasnt been finished yet

dont have a source but I remember reading GRRM saying he'd like to do a prequel of the long night/bran the builder/azor ahai
That would be pretty dope too. I had read several times GRRM is in works for THREE separate series with HBO and Cinemax so it appears we'll get several time periods. I'm thinking we're gonna get asoiaf shows/movies for another decade or more, this gravy train is going for a long time.

I got the History of Westeros book too. Cool fan art. I am not sure if it's out but I'm looking for the Ser Dunk book that combines the graphic novels together. I heard the Winds of Winter is in final revisions and there is a meeting this month with the publishers. Hopefully it will be available by next Spring.
