mr twister.....

They shouldn't fucks with your drive but ya never know... and if you've been cruisin /b/ then you might want to take that shit out before someone from the geek squad tries to pop you for kiddie porn... lulz j/k

fillya...

If you have the labtop plugged in and it doesn't boot you got more problems than the battery. If you plugged it in and nothing happens when you hit the power it could be a number of things. If the screen doesn't even flicker then that's kinda fucked. If it sounds like it starts and you can hear the drive spinning then it might be the screen. you should at least see the post and the bios message even if the operating system is fuxored...

Fill, did you test the laptop before you bought it? Did it work then?

Maybe you can try to charge it over night, then try it again. With the cable plugged in.

Or try to remove the battery, plug in the cord and then try.

But it seems to me, somebody knew about this before they sold it to you...

Can't connect to computer on network

I guess I'm not network savvy enough to figure this one out on my own. I'm trying to access a shared drive on my desktop via my desktop. The device shows in my list of networked computers. When I try to access it it tells me it's not accessible or I don't have permission. I turned off the firewall and it still denies me. I pinged it and there is no problem there. As far as I can tell it's set up properly, I just can't tell what I'm overlooking to allow access to the device. On my other computer have no problem accessing each other within the workgroup. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

I also went to my comp/tools/view/"use simple file sharing" is checked...and I still get denied access.

make sure your workgroups are named teh same... if your seeing the shit tho that's probably not the problem. It sounds like a windoze network which uses netbios most likely. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304040

Or setup samba on a linux box and put your files there ;)

listen, make sure sharing is enabled on both computers, and that both computers are connected to the same router.

then go to "my network places" and you should see all the computer names in there that share the same router connections.

if you cick on the computer u want to transfer files from and cant see anyting, make sure you set to view hidden folders , in folder options in the control panel.

then u might see somethin like "default" all grayed out.

then, from your main computer, connect to your own shared drive, go into that "default" folder and drop whatever file u want shared.

then on the other computer, since you can now see hidden folders, you should see the grayed out "default" folder, open it up and you will see the files that you shared from other computer.

If you have an air compressor I would just spray those fuckers out. You could take your pc case to the gas station and use that air compressor if you don't have one. Might cost you 75 cents or a dollar.

If you wanting to for real oil the fans I don't see why you couldn't oil them. I can't say I've ever done that shit myself. Oiling the fans might be like the sand thing.

Try teflon spray if you feel so inclined

Never used it for computers but I've used it on hella other shit. Anything that squeaks gets hit with this shit.
