No to all of the questions. Am I upset by certain aspects of black heritage, culture and upbringing? YES!

First of all, it is my honest opinion that black people are too passive. I am all for peace, but I am not the one for holding hands, singing old negro spirituals and praying for the lord while I am trying to dodge bricks, flee from attack dogs and get out of the way of high pressure hoses. IMHO, if more blacks had been like Nat Turner or the "extremists" of the 60's and 70's, things would be much different.

However, my history, heritage, culture and upbringing has been compromised. Blacks in america have a LIMITED culture. What do we know about our past? Jim Crow, slavery, segregation, etc. How do these things effect us today? Well we haven't come to grips that those things have had an impact on us biologically and mentally.

But on a more personal level, no I'm not ashamed where my parents came from, my families culture and my upbrining. On a larger scale, thats quite different. I am ashamed of the current "black" culture that is marketed by and promoted by europeans, asians and so-called jews, but I'll discuss that later.

I'm very proud of my heritage, culture, and upbringing. I've especially become much more proud in my heritage the past few years as I've educated myself on where my family comes from.

Whats funny is people denied my being Mexican so much that I eventually said fuck it and just said White.

Culturally, linguistically, etc. thats the way I was raised anyways. My mom doesnt speak one word of Spanish. My grandparents intentionally raised their whole family as "white".

Yea, I have some racist ass crackers for family members. They're truly fuckin ignorant to everything, I can't stand to be around them. I remember the first time I really witnessed the ignorance, it was xmas, my sister had bought me this all adidas fit from head to toe. I walk in my aunt & uncles house, and the first thing my cousin said, "what are you tyin to be black." That shit was kinda shocking, I was only 13, and I grew up with more minorities then whites and I didn't visit them much so I didn't know how they were. There's only a small part of my family that I'm ashamed to even be related to just because they're ignorant when it comes to other cultures. I have a big fam though and theres only a few that are like that-I know I'm not that only one my family that is ashamed of them.

my family isnt close at all, family reunions end in cops coming taking people to jail, most of them are BITCHS, i only respct a couple uncles and cousins in terms of the males in the family, cause im not gonna say "theyre hard" but they arent fake. i respect my mom and my grandma, my dad i never met, dude dipped the fuck out before i was born, never heard from him in any way.

as far as heritage, i got a lil of everything in me almost, got native, italian, spanish, german, swedish, dutch, ect...... so basically i have a lil of every race in me that has formed our history, the good and the bad dont really matter cause it all led to this. as many things as ive seen, and troubles ive been through, i cant really say i dont have a good life at the momment, so fuck it you know, im not ashamed of anything

Have you ever been ashamed of your heritage, culture, or up bringing?
I cant honestly say that I have ever been shamed of my heritage. I am Mexican with a lot of Indigeous blood in me. My grandfather was born in the US but grew up in Michoacan, Mexico.

I try to keep as close to my culture as I can (now). My parents didnt raise me to be a 'proud' anything. My father didnt teach me spanish ( I learned on my own) and Mexican dances, fiestas, quincineras, etc were NO-NO's in my family because my parents were big Penticostles (Christians).
Needless to say, I grew up not being proud of my culture. Very different than today, where I love the history Mexico has and unfortunately Mexicans stay a topic in America (In a negative way) regarding immigration.

My upbringing was hard. I had a real strict father whom ruled with the bible in one hand and a belt in the other. My mother sooner or later fell right into the same boat with him. Both worked below average jobs barely making ends meet. I never down my parents because they tried damn hard for us (me, brother, sister) to make it, but, the fact is we were always broke. Honestly, I never knew growing up just how broke we were, but I watched a video of my 12th Bday and we are eating Tuna, Rainbow brand Chips, and Always Save Soda (pop). When I see things like that it humbles me instantly because it reminds me just how hard growing up was.

.........Ill add more later......
