Or if you just flop in the hardrive to another computer of yours and copy whatever files you want if you have them both connected to your motherboard.

Go to monoprice to get whatever cable you need for a couple bucks.

No need to buy $20 worth of a cable if your only going to use it once.

You need this too do it. Works wonders as long as the drive isnt toast. This will connect to your drive with either SATA or IDE. One cord for power and other for data. Other end will connect to your computer via USB and will show up just like a thumb drive would. Works wonders.

i got one just like that the other day... using my ide drive with it... cept my sata drive isn't recognized with it for some reason
