i think harbaugh is only with the niners so he didnt have to leave the bay area...because he took a pay cut from what the dolphins and broncos were going to give him

and i dont blame him.....thin air or humidity or california weather ( which even right now isnt bad )
he doesnt have to move residence, he doesnt have to take kids out of school, he gets more power than he would have here, and i can tell you right now he is making more in SF then he would have here in Denver, i dont know why you are saying less.

Wow!

I didn't see this coming...I actually thought he'd end up in Stanford ....

I'm glad all you Raider fans are jocking/hating on the 49ers...

Like Dutch said...this is a partial fix, the next thing is get a good OC and DC, fix our secondary...

Find a QB that can actually execute plays!!

People are saying Harbaugh will fail with the 49ers, you all wrong though! Just wait till the next season and see for yourself...

I was hoping we'd land Billick if we didn't get Harbaugh...

I'm glad this shit is over though....LET'S GO 49ERS!

Stanford:

2006: 1-11
2007: 4-8 (Harbaugh)
2008: 5-7 (Harbaugh)
2009: 8-5 (Harbaugh)
2010: 12-1 (Harbaugh)
BCS victory, best record/season in 70 years.

How can you not understand the hype on this guy? He completely turned this team around. I'm not saying he will be a successful NFL coach, but there is legitimate reason to think he could be.

This is a great move for SF.

I'm wondering how much power the 49ers are giving him....

I know he'll have a big part in the draft...but what else was he given though?

awesome... 1 winning season....unproven in the NFL AS A COACH....i dont know why everyone is on his nutts? so now we just signed another unproven multi million dollar deal...yes he is an offensive minded guy but really...just another NFL rookie coach..do we not remember singletary?
exactly... im not bought on this guy, i jus hope he is worth the hype .. cuz of losin wasnt jus singletary it was mainly the "team" ... we need to get Kolb, Leinart .. develope Alex Smith the "RIGHT WAY" or draft a QB that Harbaugh is comfortable with that he can develope cuz if he doesnt next year will be another dissapointment

New head coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed during Friday's press conference that the West Coast Offense would indeed be making its return to the San Francisco 49ers.

This is exciting news for fans who remember this great offensive system that was a part of 49ers history for over two decades. It will certainly help the team's quarterback, whoever that may be.

Harbaugh later went on to describe his admiration for former 49ers head coach Bill Walsh, who helped hire him at Stanford. Harbaugh stated that he has a picture of Walsh on his computer that he looks at every day.

Harbaugh stated that the West Coast Offense would be similar to what he ran at Stanford.

That shit got me excited when I heard it...

Harbaugh is from the Bill Walsh coaching tree...that's all you people need to know! Anybody under that tree has been a decent/great coach!
