JACKSON TO SUE EMINEM?
Singer Michael Jackson allegedly is considering suing rapper Eminem over his new music video, which mocks the "Thriller" star.
The "Just Lose It" video features Eminem dressed as Jackson, losing his cosmetically enhanced nose, jumping on a bed with young children, being vomited on by the real Eminem and dousing his flaming hair by sticking his head down a toilet.

Jackson has branded the video "disrespectful" and is to determined to have it banned, reports Britain's Daily Sport newspaper.

Jackson's spokesperson says, "The Jackson family feels the video is demeaning and disrespectful. Michael is very displeased and doesn't want it shown."

A source close to the 46-year-old says, "The entire video is a send-up of Michael Jackson. Michael is very upset and is going crazy over it. Don't be surprised if he sues over this."

I'll laugh if Michael Jackson sues Eminem, and I'll be pretty damn disappointed if he wins anything. It's not illegal to make fun of people, Mad TV does it all the time. In fact, Mad TV makes fun of Michael Jackson ALL THE TIME!!

Defamation of Character doesn't include making fun of somebody. Defamation of character is when you slap a label on somebody and it affects their career and/or life. This wouldn't fall under that catergory, since all Eminem is doing is making fun of things that are already known by everybody thanks to the media.

What it is, is Michael Jackson is broke as fuck now, and he's trying to get paid. It's just like that cat DeAngelo Bailey that tried to sue Eminem for saying he was a fat kid who bullied him in school. He lost. It's like when 2Pac called Delores Tucker a muthafucka, she said it ruined her sex life, and tried to sue, but lost. None of those are defamation of character, just a bunch of lazy fucks trying to get paid off the next mans hard work.

Judge Drops Eminem Rap

Defamation suit by bully dismissed

A Michigan judge wrote a rap to support her reasons for dismissing a $1 million lawsuit filed against Eminem by an alleged junior high bully whom the rapper sought revenge against in song.
Thirty-two-year-old DeAngelo Bailey filed suit against the rapper, citing lyrics from "Brain Damage" (a song from the 1999 album The Slim Shady LP) as slanderous. The lyrics read in part: "I was harassed daily by this fat kid named DeAngelo Bailey/He banged my head against the urinal till he broke my nose, soaked my clothes in blood, grabbed me and choked my throat." Eminem's mother has publicly defended her son's account of Bailey's bullying.

But Bailey denied that he ever harmed Eminem (Marshall Mathers back in the eighth grade). Judge Deborah Servitto saw things differently and her thirteen-page opinion was padded with a ten stanza footnoted explanation of her ruling, that included the lines:

"Mr. Bailey complains that his rap is trash
so he's seeking compensation in the form of cash.
Bailey thinks he's entitled to some monetary gain
because Eminem used his name in vain.
The lyrics are stories no one would take as fact
they're an exaggeration of a childish act."

In closing, she stated, "It is therefore this court's ultimate position, that Eminem is entitled to summary disposition."

the only case of demation of character I've seen in a LONG time that would actually win is if sean connery took SNL to court over the way they make him look on that celebrity jeopardy skit, but that shit is so damn funny.
