Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane was sent to jail today (September 12) for violating his probation. According to My Fox Atlanta, Gucci Mane was convicted of assault in 2005 and was put under probation for several years. As part of his probation, the rapper was ordered to stay away from drugs and alcohol. During a hearing Friday, it was pointed out that Gucci had repeatedly violated his probation. A few weeks ago, Gucci was arrested for driving under the influence and showed up at a probation meeting under the influence of ecstasy and marijuana. The rapper also tested positive for alcohol at the meeting. He had also failed to fulfill his requires community service. Gucci was sentenced to a year in a jail. The rapper tried to ask for forgiveness but the judge told him that he had squandered away his many chances.
