FAM MART WAS JUST ON THE 12:00P.M. NEWS TODAY. THEY HAD A PRESS CONFERENCE IN THE PARKING LOT ABOUT GETTING RID OF ILLEGAL SHIT INSIDE FAM MART AND IN THE PARKING LOT. THE POLICE CHEIF, THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY MIKE AGUIRRE, TONY YOUNG, AND ALL THE OTHER REPRESENTATIVES OF THAT AREA WERE THERE. THEY ZOOMED IN ON THE BIG ASS SICK BEAV/GRIMMIE RECORDS POSTER THAT'S HANGING AT THE ENTRANCE AND THE NEWS REPORTER SAID, "THIS IS THE TYPE OF STUFF WE ARE TRYING TO ELIMINATE", WHILE REFERRING TO THE POSTER.

Man,
There is nothing wrong or fake with E-Low or what he does. All he does is make good music and help out others that are trying to do their own thing. I know E-Low personally and he has guided me and my boy TIMZ through this whole music business. Just cause his record label is Grimmie, does't mean that he is.

There might be a hidden agenda with the locals but the RIAA is cracking down on bootlegging everywhere in the country. I talked to a few people who have some soundscan product out right now & they say they're all for what the RIAA is doing. But on the flipside, this is really gonna destroy the mixtape and underground circuit. to be continued....

what are we considering bootlegging here? the unauthorized sale of an legitimate on a bigger label (selling promo copies, selling cd burned copies), or say...a musician putting out his own music? (in comparison to an artist bootlegging himself)

the reason why i ask is because they focused in on the sick beav shit like yall said.

in the case of unauthorized sales of an album on a label that frowns upon such a thing, i think thats kinda how the cookie crumbles..cats know what theyre doing whether its wrong or right or justifyable in a certain case..its up to a the individual to decide a ldismiss the law.

bootlegging wont stop because of fam mart. however, either will the riaa, more than likely.

in the case of a smaller, self-ran independent label's cd's bieng called 'bootlegs'...i think thats fucked up, 100 percent.

is bootlegging any worse than music piracy?

i would get a lawyer have him draw up some papers ,and file a claim against the newstation for defamatin of character,slander......I wouldnt do this to get money, but maybe get them to do a clip of the artists who are out here locally pushin there music, clear it up that it ain all boot legs......beleive me any lawsuit.has to be taken serious...and in dago there is a story to be told on this independent scene....the news station..may bite
