@stickygreen..how u gonna go from one extreme to another..so in this life if u make some mistakes and use some substances your a disgrace and a bad person...but if u live good and make music about jesus your nothin but a square..who the fuck r u to be makin the criteria for what makes a person one thing or another..act like people cant make mistakes in there life r u fuckin perfect?..i mean there is many sides to a person..Mac dre expressed what u might percieve to be the negative side of his life in alot of his music..but obviously u were listenin....that doesnt mean 24/7 365 he was on some thug shit..that doesnt mean he didnt hug his mom and fam..help his loved ones out..cry when his homies died..etc.. this shit iggs me becuz like dude above said you are not only disrespectin mac dre who has passed..and that shit is all bad in itself but your disrespectin anybody and everybody who ever did somethin in there life that is outside your bubble of whats right for "society"..aside from that why r u on this board if you are so quik to speak negativily upon the people who created the world for this place to exist..people who make "gangsta rap" a large percent of whom have lived lives very similar at times to there music..i mean of course dude who made this thread was on some far out bullshit thinkin he would see mac dre or any underground indi artist on the grammys..but your blatant disrespect for dre and Odb is all bad..not only becuz they passed but becuz you are takin one or 2 aspects of there life and labling that who they were..odb did drugs so he was a "crack head ass" and only that..no he was a father..a son..a brother..a musician etc etc..whatever tho go head and talk your shit i made my point
the grammy's are for mainstream acts. there was not a single act mentioned the whole night that was not mainstream. So unless you think dre was mainstream (which would make you even more of a moron), he had no business being mentioned,

Anyways, these awards and recognition are based on a person's music, NOT how they lived their lives. Shit, Ray Charles won more awards than any one, and he was an admitted HOP HEAD his whole life. The Doors won more Grammy's than anyone in history and Jim Morrison admitted that all of his songs were written on peyote and acid, Elvis Fuckin Presley popped more pills than DJ Mark 7 and Gabe combined. Dre didn't get mentioned because Dre was not on that level.
