Rumors of the off again on again port of Goldeneye 007 to the Xbox Live Arcade service are still just rumors that are supposedly dead now. But with these pictures, we know that the title is either in work, was being worked on or is done.
Xbox World 360 magazine has hit back after Microsoft Game studios said that an article in this Wednesdays issue about the abandoned GolenEye for XBLA was based entirely on rumor and speculation. They insist they have an inside scoop that includes comment from Microsoft and four pages of of dazzling new shots. They have also released 2 screen shots and a quote from the feature.
"Explosions and flame effects have been remade from scratch, and rows of trees and new in-game objects add a sense of presence to areas without affecting gameplay. The atmospheric changes are most apparent when playing the Jungle level, where every tree and plant has been rebuilt. Where a green wall at the edge of the arena fenced you in on the N64, now the wall has been removed and a new wall of foliage has been set several metres beyond the original boundary..."
I guess we gotta wait til wednesday to figure out what we can still do to make this game happen.
