The Warriors are interested in Tayshaun Prince and have been intrigued by Zach Randolph, two guys who might fit that description and could be available. Some league sources still believe Andre Iguodala - one of Curry's favorites - could be made available, but many have soured on that scuttlebutt. San Francisco Chronicle

Riley said the Warriors are not interested in being one of the ancillary teams in a Carmelo Anthony deal, and team sources said the Warriors aren't talking to Houston about Yao Ming's expiring contract. The goal, whether at the trade deadline or in the offseason, is to acquire a "good player who adds to the talent pool," Riley said. San Francisco Chronicle

Per team sources, the Warriors would trade Wright if they could receive something of value in return. But his injury history, limited playing time and lack of production have caused his stock to tank. Still, his expiring contract becomes valuable to general manager Larry Riley when included with one or more of the Warriors' other larger expiring contracts. Oakland Tribune

Some in the organization still salivate at the opportunity to work with Wright for a full offseason and training camp. He hasn't been able to do that yet because he's usually rehabbing from an injury. Oakland Tribune

it was an early game on the road, the only person that shot well was D Wright.

also the clippers are a decent team - they are inconsistent tho with their youth. kinda like us. theyve blown out some good teams this year.

but i knew being an early game it wouldnt be an easy win.

lets hope this loss will fire the team up for the lakers at home on wednesday.

and then we can get revenge vs the clippers on friday at home.

I was at this game and the Warriors were fucking GARBAGE! Monta/Steph played like shit. And ocne again the only player to show up is D Wright. And where has DLee been? LOL. Sloppy game on the Clips end too! Blake only missed 2 FTs i believe. This was great. Dominated the second half and got the W...1-1 in the Series now

We play @ ORACLE on Friday. See you there

Adrien, a 6-foot-7 power forward that began the season with the Golden State Warriors, scored 30 points to go along with 12 rebounds and two blocks to lead his Rio Grande Valley Vipers past the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the nightcap of the first of four days of D-League action on South Padre Island. "I've opened some doors, but I just have to keep doing it each night," Adrien said. "This team has really embraced me, and it feels good to be in a place where you feel wanted." Adrien's definitely "opened some doors" as the gathered scouts and agents were buzzing about the former UConn Husky and his NBA- caliber abilities despite less than ideal NBA size. "He plays a lot bigger than he actually is," one scout in attendance told FanHouse. "Even though he's not the same height most NBA fours (power forwards) are, he comes out and plays hard. He's a man among boys in the D-League." FanHouse.com

Golden State's new owners Joe Lacob and Peter Guber want general manager Larry Riley to be active when it comes to talking with the rest of the teams about potential trades. With that said, Riley doesn't think he is close to making his first trade for Lacob and Gruber.

"Sometime early in the ownership period, I would think there will probably be some kind of action," Riley told The Oakland Tribune on Tuesday. "I don't know when, but I know that they want us to be working on major deals. Their intent is to be very active."

Riley is leery of making deals the closer we get to the trade deadline each season and says he and the new owners will do their very best to improve the club, but they won't make a trade just to make a trade.

"I would not promise our fans that we're going to make a big trade," Riley said. "I will promise them we will exhaust every opportunity to make our team better."

The Warriors may be able to use Dan Gadzuric, Vladimir Radmanovic and Brandan Wright in trades because all three big men have expiring contracts. Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry are the top targets of other teams. However, Riley has no desire to trade either of them.
