not a bad deal at all! as long as we use that trade exception this time, i'm confident new management will at least attempt to put it to decent use.
some people are way hype on morrow but his ceiling = brent barry. i'm glad we got more than enough for him in the sign and trade. he will never be a starter and only be a 3 pt specialist in this league at best. he is too much of a liability on defense to play more than 10 minutes a game.

I'm a fan of Ellis. He's exciting and watching his game it's sometimes amazing what he can do....But for winning, he might not fit with Curry. Cant' really say with only one season together, but it will be interesting to see with these new additions how well they can play....
I have to disagree about the height part. It's going to be VERY HARD to win consistently with two 6'3" 180lbs guards...it's all about height in the NBA. If you measure 1-2 inches in the draft, you can slip and lose millions. Monta did lock down Roy and Granger, but it's a 82 game season. He tried his hand at Kevin Durant last year, didn't work out so well. They don't dare put him on Kobe. and Kobe is only 2-3 inches taller. But yet, it's a huge difference.
In the end, we can all wish for something, but they are going to do what they do, and hopefully they can play together and win !! That's all that matters.....

Kevin Durant is nearly unstoppable, and he's also not a shooting guard. and 1 of the toughest matchups in the league at 6-9.
Kobe is also nearly unstoppable.

after i looked into it more and even compared him to other possible free agent small forwards... i think we got the best guy and for the best price by far. he has the most potential and is already a solid player. d wade was high on this guy and enjoyed being his teammate.
the next best option would have prolly been josh howard - who doesnt have the size/length, doesnt have the defense/rebounding, is a basket case of offcourt problems, would have cost much more, and has questionable focus/determination.
After looking at whats going on and the moves that have been made...Im overall satisfied and in much anticipation of what we can do this year.....
Lee is an All Star 20 10 guy as we all know...Dorrell Wright is young, attacks the basket, likes to rebound and is real athletic....If he can improve his 3pt shooting WATCH OUT.....
The Backcourt is solid as hell my only concern is our height....Reggie Williams and CJ Watson are solid reserve players which can fill in and start from time to time.. this will help In order to keep teams off balance.... IMO Reggie Williams if used correctly can win the 6th man award.....
B.Wright and Beidrens have go to stay healthy and go hard...Which i think they are both capable of doing.....

The winning bidder for the Warriors could be announced as early as Tuesday. Unless indications from a variety of sources are inaccurate, the winning bidder will be Oracle software billionaire Larry Ellison.
Comcast SportsNet Bay Area contacted an individual familiar with the negotiations, seeking confirmation of a report from a national publication.
"That may be true," the person said of the sale, declining the opportunity to comment in detail.
An NBA source said Tuesday that he'd heard over the past week that Oracle software billionaire Larry Ellison, in tandem with the team's current minority ownership group, had emerged as the front-runner.
That same source also said that he understood that the group led by 24-Hour Fitness owner Mark Mastrov was second in the bidding.
Early Tuesday afternoon, a Bay Area-based source with knowledge of the bidding process, said that he'd be surprised if Ellison's group did not come out on top.
Later Tuesday a Warriors source said that while negotiations are close to being finalized it's premature to assume the deal will be ready by day's end.
The initial report about the pending announcement came from a Twitter post of Sports Business Journal reporter Daniel Kaplan, indicating the group that will purchase the team from current owner Chris Cohan will receive word of their winning bid before the end of the day.
Cohan was in Las Vegas on Monday.
Shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday, Kaplan posted the following on his Twitter account:
"Golden State Warriors winner should be chosen by end of the day I am hearing"
The four prominent bidding groups include the Ellison consortium, the Mastrov group, Wall Street moneyman David Bonderman and Mandalay Entertainment Group chairman Peter Guber.
Messages were left on the cell phone of Cohan and calls were placed to members of the Warriors organization.
