Going to New York to Watch the Padres - Suggestions?

we just bought tickets to watch the padres play against the yankees in yankee stadium in june! we're gonna road trip it in a mini van

any suggestions as far as:

hotels? motels? cool spots either in ny or on the way? any outside of cali laws we should know about? another forum or website to find this info? prostitutes? etc

ps i know the padres will get crushed but the pads are always the shit so who cares. theres an usher at petco from new york that told us if we're as rowdy in new york as we are here rooting the padres theyll take us out. truth to that?

Yankee fans are actually very friendly if you're not being obnoxious...

Yankee fans in NY are cool, it's the ones everywhere else that are assholes.

i know but its gonna be six of us so were not trying to cram into a sedan. the days of doing that with the family are long gone. and suvs look cooler but i think they use more gas

it comes out way cheaper driving cause a roundtrip flight would be like 600 each person as opposed to splitting gas costs between 6 people

thats what i figured. we like to be a little loud here and there and joke around and shit, but never get obnoxious or pick fights or anything like that

This is more or less true.

Becareful if it's a night game because the area right around Yankee Stadium in any direction more then a few blocks from the stadium is grimey. You don't want to be a out of towner in the wrong part of the South Bronx at night time.

How long you going to be in NY? Hit up Little Italy for the best Italian food you've ever had outside of Italy. Hit up Coney Island for the amusement park. It's dope and fine Puerto Rican women eveywhere. Another place to becareful about after dark though because most of Coney Island is ghetto as fuck too. Make sure to hit up a "jew deli." Best one in my opinion (and many other New Yorkers) is Katz's Deli in the lower east side of Manhattan. Hit up a pizzaria of course. Get an italian ice from a vendor on the streets of NY...I miss those. The Museum of Natural History is dope too if you like that type of shit. Time Square is a must of course, same with Central Park. Ditch the van and take the transit system (bus/subway) you can get day or week passes and it's hella cheaper then parking or taxis. Plus NYC transit system is hella easy to find your way around on because it's on the grid system.

Also pack light because June is when it starts getting hot and New York City is humid as fuck in the summer.

thanks for all that. its a thursday day game. so we plan on hitting up the night scene that night and then spending all of friday there. and yeah well be ditching the van as soon as we get into ny

maybe but im not so much interested in new york rap shit. im looking more to find some hardcore greasy guido mafia shit. like a gun and nice suit. though glittery pink belts with skulls does sound kinda cool

oh yeah and i wanna buy a razor blade straight outta a boriquas mouth

just got back from new york and that city is the shit!!! didnt end up road tripping...just flew and spent 10 days there. the party scene doesnt stop till about 4 in the morning, so that led to alota fun times. the people are super chill and helpful. even the cops are way cool. we stayed at a hostel in harlem which was fun. really good fried chicken there. yankee stadium was tight (except the padres cant win a fuckin game). brooklyn is hella dope. coney island was madness...all these fucked up ppl dressed up and dancing all crazy...it was like a rave or something. the food was all fuckin great, the girls were hot (though thats one thing dago has on ny, the girls in new york didnt compare to what dagos got...still good though...that and chronic...smoked some new yorkers out and they kept saying all excited "thats some of that cali dro!")

union square park on weekend nights was so tight...they had circles of people juggling soccer balls, freestyle cyphers with bongo drummers and acoustic guitarists playing the djs (there was one guy reppin the bay in the cypher who was getting love, but then this guy from washington was doing good until he got mad and said "ill say fuck new york city!" everyone just kind of oooohed and got quiet and looked at him like a dumbass. you can tell he felt like shit after saying it and didnt jump back into the cypher after that. pop and lock circles...it was all the shit. you can hang out there chief bowls, drink, then hit up a bar or club at like 2 in the morning and keep the party going

highly recommend it to everyone to take a trip out there...it was 10 days of non stop fun. we're thinking of going for new years now

ill put up some videos when i can of some of the shit we got on camera
