Anyone who doesnt think this is a good move needs to never post in this forum again. I dont know if anyone has actually WATCHED Gasol, but he is a throwback player that has a great first move with his back turned to the basket, has a pretty hook, can rebound, has LONG arms and actually PLAYES defense, can RUN and can play grind em out...this man is UNDERRATED and OVERLOOKED becuase he playes for a shitty team.

Not to mention, he is the perfect triangle offense player...he is NOW that big man that the Lakers need to run it efficiently...didnt the Lakers win three rings using the triangle that involved another 7 footer???

Exactly.

XtraMan is right. People who think this trade is lopsided are thinking too much in "the now" and don't really care to understand the money game in NBA salary caping. On top of the Griz losing salary, we gave up two first round picks and the rights to Gasol's brother, as well as a future star pg.

This move is great for my team, but does benefit the Griz in the long run.

Fuck it tho...imma get doo doo dumb and say I'm happier than a faggot with a bag of dicks.

i know nobodys gonna agree with me but i give kobe all the credit for the lakers impovement.his trade demand and shit talking made everything thats happened this year possible.would bynum be playing the way he has if kobe hadnt critized his play during the off season?seriously, did any1 here think bynum woulda improved the way he has?would kupshak got off his ass and made moves if kobe hadnt threatened to leave?kupshak and buss woulda been satisfied with the lakers just making the playoffs and then losing in the first round.wether they have improved to please kobe or to prove him wrong, theres no doubt that kobe's the reason the lakers are gonna be going past the first round this year.my hats off to kobe.

the only problem is how do you expect Lamar Odem to D up quick athletic SF in the league.... thats the only thing I see... other then that, the lakers just opened their door for the next 3 1/2 years.

Aside from Bynum I agree with you. Kupchak realized that he was about to lose probably the second greatest player of all-time and finally pulled his head out of his ass. It's sad, though, that it had to come down to all of the nonsense that took place during the off-season. Ah well. As long as we make it to the Finals it really doesn't matter.

Not a Gasol fan, by far, but this was a good move for the Lakers, because I feel Gasol has the potential to flourish in the triangle, and his ability to draw double-teams will definately be a serious factor when facing the Lakers.

Gasol and Bryant both drawing a double...leaving Fisher open outside, Bynum inside...and if Odom could be anywhere near consistant...with the bench they have, this could be something in the making.

Fuckers, Gasol is a beast on the offensive end. And he's still young, watch out for the Lake Show. I'm not going to be too thrilled when we see them back to back in March.

The dubs always get the short end of the stick when it comes to players coming back from injury. We played Houston a few games ago and it was Yao's first game back from a staph infection. What happens? He went for almost 40 and 20. Every fucking time, it always seems players get healthy when they're about to play the dubs.
