YEP GASOL WAS DOING HIS THING....24 PTS...PLUS NOW WHEN KOBE SITS DOWN , I DONT FIND MYSELF WONDERING HOW THEY ARE GOING TO SCORE A POINT.....TO ME GASOL'S PRESENCE ALONE HELPS , PEOPLE COULD LEAVE KWAME ALONE CUZ YOU KNOW HE AINT FINNA DO SHIT , YOU GOTTA RESPECT GASOL'S GAME , AND THEN THROW IN KOBE , THE BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE!!! AND THE LAKERS SHOOTERS ARE FINNA BE GETTING WIDE OPEN LOOKS CUZ THE DEFENSE WILL BE COLLAPSING ON GASOL OR WHEN KOBE DRIVES TO THE HOOP....AND I KNOW IT WAS ONLY NJ , BUT THEY WERE AT HOME AND THEY STILL GOT KIDD , CARTER AND RJ , SO IT WASNT LIKE THEY WERE PLAYING SEATTLE.......

LAST NIGHT GASOL DID ALL THE SHIT KWAME COULDNT DO:REBOUND, DRAW DOUBLE TEAMS, MAKE BASKETS RIGHT BY THE HOOP, CATCH PASSES, SHOOT A BASELINE, DRIVE TO THE HOOP...AND KWAME COULDNT DO THAT SHIT AGAINST ANY TEAM...SO IT WOULDNT MATTER IF IT WAS JUST AGAINST THE NETS OR NOT...GASOL MADE HIS TRADE VIABLE IN ONE NIGHT.

^^^O SHIT THIS FOOL SIGGED ME LOL!!!

Teams better look out for the Lakers. If Kobe is healthy come playoff time and Gasol is there... look out. Kobe's assist should increase now that he's got someone in the middle that can make a layup and won't fumble all the time.

He knows who Gasol is, and lemme tell you what he's gonna respond with:

A) That's just one night, he won't do that every night. (correct)

B) He won't score that much when Bynum comes back (correct, again).

Thing is, he didn't get 10 and 4....and I'm saying he won't average that either. He'll average more.

good game....kobe only scored 6 and we still came out on top...shows he dont gotta carry the team anymore scoring like 30 points or more a night..

24 and 12 rebounds worth the it by a longshot...when was the last time kwame did shit like that....i never seen him do that cept when he was with the wizards...and that was like a one time thing

absolutely not. I just dont think he's gonna be the difference maker that most around here do.
Yet you havent explained WHY besides your biased "i just dont like him" view. Your personal perception on a player does not reflect reality.

The fact is, Gasol WAS the missing piece for the Lakers to make the run NOW. It takes the pressure OFF Kobe (had Gasol not been there last night, its a good chance Lakers win...Fisher can ONLY score so muchy) and allows the team to FLOW...much like it did last night.

My reasoning: Gasol = soft & overrated. Thats not to say that he's not good, just that he's not as good as he is made out to be. He did have a very good game against NJ but NJ is also weak inside. I'm watching the Lakers-Atlanta game right now and Gasol looks like he is going to be better than I thought, but not as good as most people here want him to be.
