Payton was in the last year of his deal,and he was most likely gonna walk on the Sonics anyhow.Better to get something for him,then letting him walk at the end of the year.Fuck Mason aswell,does'nt have the ballhandling skills to play 2 guard,and is to small to play small forward.Sonics were'nt gonna do shit this year anyhow,so now they can look forward to a lottery pick,and they got tons of cap money for summer.Rumors already startin in the town about Howard Schultz and Jason Kidd's relationship,and how their good friends.I can't see Kidd becoming a Sonic though.
Look for G.P. to beat the shit outta the Sonics,right here in Seattle tomorrow night.!!

Gary Payton Trade

In my opinion, I think this trade is good for Gary Payton. He's been in Seattle for 13 Years and every night he has come to play basketball, his stats speak for themselves. Let's not forget, when George Karl was coach for us, Gary and George established a friendship, so, I think that's why the trade went very well for Gary. Also, I believe that Coach Karl and Ray Allen we're not getting along as well, I could be wrong too. I will never forget GP, he has done so much for charities here, plus his foundation gave away more than 1.3 million dollars to other charities as well. Sayin' that GP will never get a ring is totally ridiculous! GP is hungry! so, he's gonna keep workin' til he gets it. I welcome Ray Allen and his other team mates to The Seattle Sonics Organization, but I will surely miss GP and Desmond Mason too... I really hated to see him go too. All the Seattle fans will be hatin' in the mornin', I don't care I will always back GP up no matter what.

bucks came up tho...seattle has no point guard now, and bucks got sam i am, gp, michael redd, and desmond mason, thats a solid backcourt, redd was puttin up close #'s to ray allen when he was there, i got both of them on my fantasy squad...and now that 2 spot is there he's bout to ball...and mason can play some 3 too, they might be contenders but they wont win the east...and sonics aren't even in the playoff picture all they got now is allen and rashard....

Kobe is a better all around player. Weather or not shark hypes the guy up to be more then he is or not, I think he is at least one of the more under-rated players in the NBA. In time he will be one of the premier guards in the league, this may be his opportunity to shine, we'll see.

That would be somethin' vicious! I dont see it happening though. If it does, they will end up like the Lakers, that being the only 2 good players they will be able to afford.

R. Allen will never be a premier 2 guard. he is to 1 dimensional!! He is good, but will never be a premier player. I think he is overrated! I mean he is on the olympic team, and he shouldnt be there, and he gets his share of pub, but he aint that tight to me. And he aint close to bein the most complete player in the league!! GOT EM!!!

This is the worst decision Seattle has ever made. Its even worse then trading Shawn Kemp.

How can you trade the best player Seattle has ever had? One of the greatest point gaurds of ALL time.

Im no longer a Sonic fan. I hope Seattle never makes the playoffs again. Fuck the Sonics.

if they didnt trade him then they would have got NOTHING for him because he said he wasn't gonna sign with the sonics when he becomes a free agent at the end of this year...

warriors...he want's to play in the bay...but it won't happen while jamison is there unless he restructures his overpaid contract...but i'd rather see gilbert stay and develop
