how will this album change the game?

It will change the game in its current state in that it will open the door for the west to get back crackin.

why is this thread here?

Its posted in BART because I wanted to post it here. There are tons of threads in here that aren't directly related to the Bay so miss me wit that. Plus he was wit JT at first so that makes him Bay affiliated.

after listening to the entire album, its not as good as i first thought. actually somewhat disappointing. could have done w/o the east coast production.

shit is real fuckin nice.....aint no fuckin doggystyle, the chronic, all eyes on me, dogg food status....but the shit is real real nice, thats all i really need to say.....favorite cuts are no more fun and games (just blaze drops a real nice beat, and game rips it up)-hate it or love it-where im from- churches for thugs-start to scratch (i dunno wassup with games voice on it, but he still comes pretty tight)-dreams-all of the singles are pretty coo, although played out-the joint with faith is coo- i aint feelin timbalands beat on there, nor song with busta.....and i wish there were "g shit" songs on there with game rippin a mob ass beat, but overall im given it a 8.5/9.....ill be definitly copping the collectors edition with dvd when it drops

I havent listen to the whole cd yet. The tracks I listen to were alright. I would have to listen to them again. However did anyone notice that he kept rapping about other rappers? I remember hearing tupacs name a few times his moms name, 50's name a few times and dres name a couple more. I don't know, to me that got annoying.

The album sucked. How with an all star cast of producers(the best track came from the new comers Cool & Dre) do you come with at most 3 OK songs? Crappy hooks (Game and 50 cent should not be singing!) Producers that aren't producers they are just beat makers. Seems as if they just tossed Game some beat tapes and said pick one and put your lyrics over it. No time in the studio developing the craft, and guiding the MC to formulate a quality track (obviously Dre didn't even do this or if he did he's proven he's fallen off). As much as i thought that new Xzibit album was weak it was waaaay better than this Game album and at least he didn't fu-ck up a Timberland beat like Game managed to do. :dead:

Glad i didn't pay for this album and i wouldn't recomend anyone else pay for it either.

West Coast is Back--Compton's in the House

Aint feeling you, CB: the album is knock

Yeah, he talk about everyone out there on the album. But he's new to the game (no pun intended), so he gotta start at the bottom and show that he recognizes folks.

Lotta tight beats on this one: my fav [surprisingly] is the KWest one. Not a fan of West's spits, nor lyrics for that matter, but that beat is just SICC !

There were a couple of slows on the album, obviously for the ladies--Pac showed how advantagous having a couple of those type ah songs can be. But there was some hella strong heat, too.

The Buck album, I liked about three of the tracks, so it didnt get much play, even though it was a good album--I just wasnt really feelin it. But this Game album, you could tell Dre was pushin him, and crafting that album with him. Em even came through with a nice beat, and one hella tight verse. Man, there were a lot of features on this cutty. But Game held his own. A very solid freshman album. Aftermath lable be puttin out solid albums ... the whole world knows this, even us underground cats that generally dont pay attention to ish that is so popular.

Solid album for damn sure. I got hella new shit and this one is in rotation for more time than most new albums that I cop cuz I think its dope from front to back there are not many songs that I skip through. I do question his image and street cred, but as far as an artist he is definately on point with his mic presence and lyrically he is insane. Up till this point I felt he, as an artist was over rated but now I see what the buzz was all about. Production was cool Dre is the best and I hope for this album produces good results on the soundscan cuz he deserves it compared to the mainstream garbage competition. About his image though this is the world of entertainment.

damn,i have heard a lot of reasons why ppl like the game and most of them justified, but i never thought i would hear that...even from a game fan

anyway, have been trying to give this album a chance lately...and at first i thought it was better than i intially thought, but about 3 listens later i went back to not feeling it all, this album gets boring really fast and if you listen to it often the name dropping and shit starts to get on my nerves...so after a little ray of hope,i'm back to not feeling this album at all....only track i even bother to give a listen is "start from scratch" and thats just cause of the beat, cause i hate the fact that it sounds like his ass is crying on that track, haha (dont act like you didnt notice)

got the instrumental version last night so i have no need to bump it anymore, here is my final rating for the doc after giving it alot of solid listens

The Game-The Documentary 5/10 (5 points for beats)

The Game-The Documentary (instrumentals) 9/10 (bonus 4 points for no Game)

Classic? U got to be joking right. Too many people throw that word around like it's nothing. This for damn sure aint no classic. Its an OK album to me. I'm feeling like 4-5 tracks a lot and the rest are okay. The main reason im feeling them is production, Game's rhymes are so repetetive and BLAH. Worst is how he name drops left and right on every track. And did you guys happen to catch how he bit the fuck out of that dudes chorus, and he used it on the title track? Its pretty blatant. And to say Game is lyrically insane? that was the funniest thing Ive heard in a long time hahaha. Lyrically insane compared to Lil jon maybe lol.

On a good note though, this album is good for the west, as long as game helps bring the west up with him. The documentary didnt really have any appearances from west coast acts that haven't blown yet. So hopefully he will do the right thing here.
