I moved to L.A. About 4 months ago from Sac, where I spent the last 15 years. There's haters everywhere, but I hear a lot of people hatin on the bay. Funny thing is I hear them bumpin that shit! I didn't realize "SoCal" was upset that Northern cali was finally taking it to the forefront for Cali rap. I'd like to see more norcal/socal collabs. What about you?

There are already collabs.. Mitchy Slick and Mess.. 40 and Jayo Felony fucked wit it a while back. Snoop and 40 last year.. Rick Rock and Snoop/Xzibit/and so forth.. Boo Yah Tribe fuck wit Frisco Uso's.. ad its a few Im missin fasho, but...

But you're right tho.. the average soCal listener doesn't respect us at all. But thats because all they hear from us is this hyphy shit.. how can they take us serious?

Ya feel me? People act like there's an invisible barrier between the too. I myself moved down here to take advantage of everything L.A. Has to offer. its still northen cali on mine, but you really have to broaden your horizons to get over the hump. Everybody is a potential fan.

i been makin beats for boo ya tribe, south central cartel, top dogg and a number of other so cal rappers. i know tons of them and i can honestly say i aint ever heard a so cal rapper talk shit about the bay. its all love as far as i'm concerned

Yeah! There are collabs. I think norcal needs to work with more socal artists to show that there is more to norcal than hyphy. We knock socal songs all day on norcal radio. Its not the same down here. We need more norcal radio artists. I'm feelin Clyde Carson on some radio shit.

Look! THE people in the Bay needs to be more mature about taste.. but that wont happen. Ask the average consumer 19 and under who do they like the most in the Bay and they will name the weakest rapper out here. Or the most cartoonish. Or bubblegum. Or corny!!! Lol.. but thats what they like and thats what these club/radio djs play most of the time. That uptempo (bpm 98-1000000000) and talk about drinkin til they throw up or pill poppin while doin the ugliest faces in the world.. that only Dre got away with..

B4 a Bay nigga does a song with anyone else out our region.. we have to start speakin to another audience other than the under dopefiend ya diiiig? I wanna see a NUMP do a song with like a Casual or someone of that caliber and see if he wants to rap still after he chews him on a track. but niggaz aint gettin the dope niggaz. they get the formula.. a good/successful hyphy rapper with a wanna be.. and BOOM they're on the radio.. in the mix and at all the 18+ parties..

I'm not saying bay music is for everybody. But let's face it. Life's all about stereotypes. I just wish more people were able to look past hyphy and see what else we have to offer. There's great music everywhere, you just have to search for it sometimes. You may even find it where you least expect it.

This is very true. And it fucks me up cuz Bay cats are always concerned about LA respecting they shit & liking their music & LA niggaz is always worried about NY respecting them & playing their shit. I got news for u. I lived in So.Cal(LA & IE) for about 6-7 years & they are bias as fuck just like Bay niggaz. Bay niggaz are just as bias so why are they so worried about what LA thinks? Most So.Cal niggaz aint fuckin with the Bay. Period. Dago niggaz are but that's about it.
