Preseason doesn't show much and is somewhat a waste of time. Yeah you get to see who will start, but you have to remember all teams are holding back. The Niners not blitzing says they were using a bone-dry D and didn't want to give up any of the scheme before the season started. Their system is complex. Look how bad they looked all preseason.. And why? Because they weren't running their real schemes on offense or defense. I'd assume other teams do the same.
So basically what I'm saying is it doesn't matter who performed better in preseason. Walters should start because Brooks has proven he'll get them nowhere, not only by his play in the past 2 games but by his play back in N.O. I said the same thing about the Alex Smith/Tim Rattay situation, they need to get Walters some experience.

Nope can't blame Brooks. Doug Grabiel traded. Porter in the doghouse. Re-shuffled offensive line that can't block. An offensive coordinator that has been out of professional football for over 10 years. Starting running back averaging 2 yards a carry.
That's why Art Shell said the job is still his because he hasn't played bad enough to get benched. There's enough of blame to go around.

i agree, and look @ SF compared to last year, its not only having more threats, but better play calling, mike mccarthy was a fucking idiot, Norv came in and made a huge diffference, hes proven he can turn shit around, and it appears he has SF on the right track, there was plenty of OCs avail this year, and yet, the raiders didnt try to get a single 1, yes i know not many wanted the job, but im sure the right amount of money coulda got martz or saunders, Martz is stuck in det now with a underachieving team, and he could have gone to Oak, and had a better offense to work with....
I disagree. Aaron Brooks is bad, and I don't mean that in a good way. And the line is also terrible, but not the worst ever. The Niners' line sucked just as much last year.
Those saying Aaron Brooks is not to blame are full of shit. Though he is not the only one to blame, he still is to blame to an extent. I mean, he dropped 2 snaps in a row. Give me a break. He makes horrible decisions when pressured. His best years are behind him, and they weren't very good to begin with.
