I don't know what kind of lies your parents instilled into your minds as a kid but there's no such thing as karma. If there is any truth in it my future is not lookin' really bright, but ain't shit happen to me. The definition of karma says that the "total" effect of my actions will basically determine my fate. In other words, what ever I done in the past will happen to me. I don't know about you but this sounds like bullshit to me.

mang i believe in dat shit . karma done got me hella times... i jacked hella shit from some dude in frisco and like a week later i got jacked by some cats out here in oakland... like 2 months ago i saw some dude break into some dudes car but i wasnt really trippin cus i didnt like dude so i was like fuck it and minded my own business..den 2 weeks after that dey broke into my car 3 times within a 3 week period and stole everything and ended up breakin the steering collum...

I don't know man. Yall got your beliefs and I have mine. When shit starts happenin' to me that I've done in the past I might consider it true. Otherwise I'm just gonna look at life exactly as that... life. Bad shit happens to everybody, that doesn't necessarly mean they've done something to deserve it. Innoncent people get robbed, killed, raped everyday feel me? That's life

Karma isn't just "what goes around comes around." Contagious Locc was hinting at it, but karma is the the effect that the actions in your current life, and those lives you've lived before this one, will have in determining where you will be re-incarnated to and when your soul will reach the level of nirvana.

Americans have misconstrued karma as something much too basic. You have to believe in Hinduism, including re-incarnation, to really believe in karma.

The way I see it... if you screw people over and put yourself in grimey situations, you are bound to get caught up. It's not something overly metaphysical.

Karma doesnt have to be a mystical thing. Basically, if you do good, more good shit will happen to you if you hadn't. If you do bad, more bad shit will happen to you if you hadn't. Its just a belief system based on common sense. And of course good and bad shit happens to everyone.

Call that whatever else you want, but it ain't karma. Karma is a defined aspect of Hinduism... it's not meant to be overly simplified in terms of "do some good shit and other good shit will happen to you."

That "do good and good shit will happen to you" stuff is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Like goin to Church every Sunday to get to Heaven. But what about the folks who dont believe in Heaven/Hell? Are they damned because folks who think like say they should be damned cause they dont beleve? NO!

Shit like do good/get good and go to church/get into heaven are self-fulfilling prophecies cause if they believe enough in it, it would be believeable for em (whether it is or not). Christianity falls into self-fulfilling prophecy too but thats another subject.

it all just depends on wtf u beleive... sum people dont gotta do bad shit for bad shit to happen, cuz that ties into luck, one time sum dude told me if i beleive in luck, i dont beleive in god, n tried to hit me wit sum bullshit like that...

karma is what goes around comes around BASICALLY. reincarnation and what kind of afterlife u will have n all that is when u start diggin hella deep into it...

a utopia or paradise after death can only be acheived by determining factors such as did u live a pure life, or were u on a righteous path most of tha time... tha people that go to hell are tha ones with no guiding light... such as people who use tha product of tha devil and can find no other way to get away frum its grip... murderers, people who do harm to others for their own personal satisfaction... those are tha people to question when it comes down to who goes where n what happens to who...

Yea, I can. I'll just have to accept the consequences for my actions. I already know where you're tryin' to go w/ this though. Just because I know there's reprecussions for the shit I do doesn't mean I believe in Karma. If I put myself in fucced up situations the chances of somethin' happenin' to me are greater. Damn, that's common sense. Life not Karma.

Mrs. Brown was a devoted christian. Far from perfect but she done alot for others. Volunteered within her community, donated money, never cursed or judged others. Always wore a smile. Never harmed anyone but was robbed and shot in the head point blank. Where's the Karma??

I don't know if I can put this any simple. It's life. I don't know why people always have to go too deep into things, I guess it's the curious nature of man. It seems like we will never seem to accept the fact that somethings are not meant for us to understand. Life has many unawsered questions, contrary to Karma innocent people are victimized also. It's life.

ARRGGHHH!! Damn man, you seem like a bright fella, but how can you simplify a doctrine of an established religion like that?? There is no need to "dig hella deep" into anything!! It is exactly what it is... KARMA.

Karma is NOT just some way of treating others that can be explained concisely with a catchy slogan. Shit, I wish that were some Hindu folks in here.
