The song has real mainstrem appeal, plus they will catch the rest of the country off gaurd when they hear them spit their more lyrical shit. They have the total package with good rymes, production, image and they make since.

I'm a huge Frontline fan...I've been listening to them for awhile. The song is cool, not the greatest I've heard from the Frontline, but it's definitely got a mainstream feel to it. Especially after you see the video.

As for street cred...who gives a fuck? If you make good music then you're cool with me. As far as I know, Zion I has never killed nobody or nothin, yet they still put out some of the best music in the bay. Now maybe because that gangsta style isn't the way they rap, but neither does Frontline, so you can't stick them in that same genre with all the other thug rappers out there. They are in a more lyrical and conscious genre.

The thing you find out after actually listening to a Frontline CD is the contrasting styles of Locksmith and Left. I wasn't a huge fan of Left at first myself, but after listening to their album you begin to appreciate his style.

Obviously, Locksmith comes with the crazy lyrics that can eat just about anyone on MTV. But the other side to the coin is Left's story-telling. Lock spits fire, and Left spits truth. That's why I think they make such a good group.

good music is good music dont matter where u come from man...
That's real, plus they do come from Richmond so if they tell stories about the streets who's to say that the shit did or didn't happen to them- another rapper that they are competing with? I never hear them saying "I kill" "I sale crack"...they do tell stories and a good ARTIST does that. Now, the single has mainstream writtin all over it, plus they have a tight ass video to bring the song to life.

Plus this song can really appeal to the ladies, something that a lot of bay music tends to not do. I understand this board is probably 90 percent males so you may not realize this, but women are the ones that buy up most of the music. If frontline can grab the ladies attention then they could definately blow up. I hope they take the right steps as far as promotion goes, otherwise their album could go by the wayside. But they seem like some smart cats, so hopefully they can get their business straight.

....plus I heard they are going to do some commercial for Nike's new air force one campaign (not sure if its true though)

Lock can bust. . .True enough. . .But, about what? It has no relevance to anything. I don't know. . .Maybe, it's just me but, they don't appeal to me. It sounds like they struggled to write that song. It just doesn't sound authentic like they really hop on work at the club. They aiiight. . .

is this the cut which they have a video for? I saw soem frontline/ea ski video on Mtv james yesterday. Kinda surprised me considering they're bay artists. Nice looking video, professional looking - i wasnt feeling the song too much though.
