i just got back from watching it...

that part when jason put that fool on the back of that truck...."here,take him with you"...lol....i died laughing at that shit.

overall it was pretty good movie and a damn good way to reintroduce JASON but i really wasnt impressed with the kills.i thought he would be a little more creative than that.

one question though...what happened to the scene when JASON is sharping his machete?its in the commercial but not in the movie.

i just got back from seeing it and as a long time horror movie fan, this remake was tight. all the elements from the series were there. douchbag, whore, token black dude and a couple randoms. deaths were cool, tits were nice. i did notice that the kil kil ma ma wasnt used until the very last few seconds. im glad they chose to remake this and i will also be looking forward to the new A nightmare on elm street.

I have to co/sign on this. I read this thread right b4 going to watch it last night. Maybe I had high expectations, but this movie was fukin' terrible. This will easily go down as one of the worst Friday the 13th films of all time.

1. The plot was horrible! (At least the Halloween remake went into the story)
2. 98% of the kills were sorry (Maybe my expectations were to high?)
3. The acting & dialogue was subpar at best. (Whole movie was predictable)

My thoughts are, If you are going to do a remake of a classic horror film after all the failed attempts in the past.....you have to live up to the hype. This was an unnecessary addition to the series. IMHO, this is another failed attempt. SAVE YOUR $$$!!!!

lol@the plot being horrible. friday the 13th = teens get killed.. end of plot. What were you expecting? Jason was gonna reach a plateau of self actualization and put down the machete to pursue a career in advertising? He was gonna go on to teach inner city youth the importance of swimming?

I had high expectations going into it too.. and high expectations are never met, thats why I always regret reading reviews before I see a movie.

My only qualm was the lack of character development. Slasher flick or not, it never hurts to have three dimensional characters. Especially the main girl. When Jason killed her, I thought to myself I had never cared less about a main character getting killed.

It was good though. Better than Halloween, probably not as good as TCM.

yea,i went in expecting the same friday plot and they did just that.it was the typical 13th and a good way to reintroduce jason to the new generation of kids.but those kills were not scary and frighting enough.you would think with all this new technology and michael bay backin them up,that they would have been way more creative with the kills.

and what was up with the part when jason was gettin pulled in the wood chipper and struggling and shit at the end but what she said "JASON" he just turned around like he never was gettin pulled by the chain?...lol...

Well....I the problem for me was I was expecting a remake. This is just an addition to the series. In that light, it was aight..but still unnecessary and not that good. I guess I was hoping that they would re-tell the story and give the characters some life. I think I expected a remake like the last Halloween flick, where they told the in depth story. Went back to the roots of it all.

Well u may not have researched it like I did before it came out, but Bay said it wasnt a str8 remake!! He was doin parts1,2, & 3 in one movie and doin some things a lil different. So I wasnt expecting tit for tat remake!! And the plot was what it was before....he saw his mom beheaded and started splitting wigs mane!! I mean what else u want!! He had his territory and if u come to his spot u get murked!! It was dope to me and much better than that wack Halloween remake!! Rob Zombie is booboo mane!! Now that was a remake I was mad at!! I guess we have our opinions but he went way off on that remake and if anything that wasnt a remake it was just another one to add, but this friday wasnt another one, it was a remake mane point blank!! Got Em!!

By the way Friday The 13th is the most grossing opening weekend horror movie ever with 42.2 mill this weekend, and should go over 60 mill after presidents day tomorrow!! Jason is the illest of alltime mane!! Got Em!!!
