Thug rose withdrew from ufc 249
Jose Aldo had to pull out of 250 cause America wouldn't give him a work visa during quarantine lol

UFC needs to stop. Just fucking take a 3 month break and reset.

Don't understand why they're so adamant about putting on these shows. Can't even be money, cause I doubt PPV sales are gonna be any good right now and they're losing out on million+ dollar ticket gates.

Ferg and Gaethje won't sell much anyway, they gotta dump a ton of money into a "special" venue, they won't have ticket sales, and could potentially ruin Ferg and Khabib which will sell. UFC shooting themselves in the foot.

Wonder if the dividend they gave has something to do with it:

Shortly after acquiring UFC, Endeavor invited nearly two dozen celebrities to invest in the mixed martial arts brand. The list included bona fide stars across the sports and entertainment spectrum, including actor Mark Wahlberg, celebrity chef Guy Fieri, supermodel Gisele Bundchen and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

UFC rewarded the celebrity investors with a $300 million dividend earlier this year, according to the New York Post. White and Endeavor executives Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell each netted more than $3 million, while Wahlberg received about $500,000.

The dividend was the first of its kind since UFC was sold. The move prompted renewed scrutiny of UFC’s pay practices for fighters, who are employed as independent contractors.

I just don't understand the point. The show is literally pointless. It serves no purpose.

Khabib vs. Ferg is a fight that UFC fans have waited 5 years and 5 cancellations to see happen and will sell a ton of PPV, this new fight isn't gonna sell shit. UFC is possibly throwing that away for an empty arena fight that nobody asked for.

The Co-Main is cancelled also.

The Association of Ringside Physicians is pissed also, they've been talking about how when fighters cut weight their immune systems get compromised and how this is probably the dumbest sport you could possibly do during this pandemic. They're also saying how it's bullshit because numerous UFC fighters on a card end up having to make a hospital trip after their fight. Now a hospital already strained by corona is gonna have to treat UFC fighters for no reason.

It almost just seems like the UFC is on some stubborn "we won't be beat" shit.
