Earl Washington, who's been held in jail for 18 years, is the 95th person in the US to be exonerated while on death row. Earl Washington has joined the long list of American men held in jail for many years, then found to be wrongly convicted.
Now, nearly 24 years after his arrest, independent DNA tests by three laboratories, including the Louisiana state crime lab, show what Michael Williams has long contended: He is not the man who committed the crime. "Williams becomes the 159th convicted defendant whose innocence has been established by DNA. Williams' lawyers and the district attorney in Jonesboro are (in the DA's words) "in the process of reaching a mutually agreeable method for securing his release from incarceration . . . on March 11." Louisiana has no law allowing for compensation of wrongly convicted defendants. When Williams is released, prison officials will give him a check for $10.
Innocent man found not guilty at trial, after 5 years on Alabama's death row
Anthony Capozzi, innocent man, released April 3, 2007 after serving 22 years.
Mr. Walker has just been released from a California prison after serving 12 years behind bars for a murder he did not commit.
Innocent man, Jeffrey Mark, leaves prison after 16 years.
I can go on and on and on.
Obviously, this shows that our system is flawed and even if you are convicted of a crime that does not necessarily mean you're guilty. If anything it shows that those convicted are often from a poor working class family that does not have the means ($$$) to properly represent themselves at trial.

There are probably thousands of people who have proved their innocence yet they are still in jail. In fact, I know of a couple people that found evidence and proved they were innocent, but the state said, "it's not just as easy as letting them go free." Really? How the fuck is it not that easy? CAUSE THEY DONT' GIVE A FUCK ABOUT PEOPLE. This system doesn't give a fuck abotu humans, it cares about MONEY...and then humans because without fucking morons like superfly snuka supporting the system, America would never survive...

there was a number of people who were arrested and tried for that murder ya know.....most of em are walkin free....X is jus the famous one.....and got the shit end of the sticc for not snitchin.....the real killer is walkin free.....since your so into justice you should be sayin the real killer got off easy and should be rotting.....but you only HATE X RAIDED.....maybe your girlfriend likes him???? i dunno......but you do have a problem wit him not killers in general it seems....
