the first one was easy cause it was in the page source.

the second was easy cause they told you there was no password.

and that is where I am stuck because I am in no way a hacker. could someone please explain how I might go about becoming a hacker?

A couple answers below:






















Level 3: The password is in the level 4 file password.txt.

Level 4: View source, get pass reminder script, save it locally, change the e-mail address to your e-mail address.

Level 3- It says the script is calling password.txt, so go find password.txt.
Level 4- The script sends the e-mail to whatever e-mail address is in the form, change the form e-mail.
Level 5- You'd have to create your own script, put it up somewhere and fake the referrer. Probably can be done by running a web server on your machine and editing the hosts file.
