thats hella money....
but im not going to vegas...
im going to san diego
ima tell you straight up.
the job market out here is fucked in san diego.
you got people with degrees competing with morons for $32,000 jobs
i jus got a part time gig at a thrift store that got 300 applicants.

you definitely cant just wing it and hope to get a job in a month or so
it could happen if you have a trade i.e. stylist/barber etc

also i wouldnt wanna live south of the 8 freeway or east of the 15.
so find a ucsd student roomate

What do you do?

For a lot of professional positions you can let them know in your cover letter that you're looking to relocate and they'll let you interview over the phone... Sometimes you can even get them to help you move... But if you're doing entry-level work, they'll usually take someone local over someone that has to relocate... They're not going to invest too much in someone that has to relocate over someone local for a position that has the potential to have a high turnover rate.

Shop around your resume and see if you get a few companies to bite. Get in touch with a few temp agencies in the San Diego area and see what they could do for you. Gotta have some comfort money before you take a leap out that way. Have enough cash to at least set you up with a flight, hotel and food for a few days if you get a good lead. The best of luck to you....
