They should use their Cal education instead of rapping. Why would you graduate from cal and end up rapping that shit is retarrted you don't need an education to rap and i heard that they don't even be in the Rich WTF!

Squares or not, they're a good alternative to all the hyphy, thizz bay shit that is going on now. Seems like a lot of people like to seperate the rap game from education. Also it seems rappers cant get any respect these days without having some kind of hood credibility or talking about killing or shooting someone. My opinion is that the frontline stands out more than anyone else to me in the bay when it comes to bayarea artists.

Not everybody goes to school to be rich. They go to learn. More rappers have degree's than you think. What makes them square? School? Ignorant ass mothafucka. Im' sure you wouldnt call Left a square to his grill or around his Uncle. I can gaurantee you're alot more "Square" than he is. Left is around the rich. It is known.

People go to school to learn, there are classes in college from anything to computers to business. I would guess one of them major in business or something of that sort to help them in the music industry. Ya'll hating to much, they are gonna be big.

They got more legit lyrics than most in the bay and they got a "slap after slap" producer named e-a-ski behind them 110 percent. It really sounds like the're maybe a little too advanced for most "street" cats posting here even though they arent catering to backpack or nerdy rap in any way. They got my support.

It's sad that they had the balls to make a statement for the Bay damn near 3 years ago about the Bay needing a new movement to get some attention nationwide continue to make quality slaps and get this because of what? Because they do their own thing? Because they don't front on who they are? Man yall need to really do your homework on what they have done for the Bay before you pass judgement. The fact that they continue to stay true to their Frontline sound is why they have fans and respect. And I (as well as most people being honest with themselves) think it's tight as fuck that they came up out of Richmond got an education and they still do they rap shit. I bet more than half of the people on here that tried to rap wish they were in their position and the other half that want to go to college wish they could get into a university like U.C.Berkeley.

on some real shit frontline is coo and they have some slaps but in regards to what dude who started the thread asked....frontline desereves no credit whatsoever for "bringing the bay back" in any way shape or form...and i think someone else said frontline deserves credit for the hyphy movement, man cmon that make no sense whatsoever...frontline came out a few years ago and were talking their new bay gimmick shit and plus locksmith was on mtv and they got they lil shine on, but in the end, no RAPPERS from the bay was feelin the "new bay movement" and it has no connection to hyphy or thizz or anything like that...i like frontline even but jesus christ, give mac dre ALL the credit for where the bay is at right now...and 40 and keak...and quinn and mess...and...

They rode (not road) others coat-tails LOL...They brought it to the attention of everybody that new blood is what is needed to fuel the Bay coming back. BOLO you seem pretty new in here with 9 post, but pull up some of those New Bay threads from WAY BACK and you will see what alot of people already know. The whole New Bay movement opened doors for new artist in the Bay. They were the ones breaking down doors for the new unheard of artist in the Bay. Most of the press the new cats got was because they were labled as "New Bay".

Thank you. You're always on point. I swear these young cats on here only care about who can mean mug the hardest. Dont nobody give a fuck about how hard your block is. They just want to hear good music. Only kids and fake thugs from the burbs are obsessed with who's a thug and who's not. That shit dont mean anything when it comes to actual sound.

Man let me say this... I will always support the frontline because they dont claim to be "DUMB" like most MC's. And Locksmith is hard, left is clean too his lyrics are vicious but his delivery does need a little work.

Now...This right here is the problem with the bay, why so many niggaz are dying. You guys are condeming education. Yall are saying they are square because the dont act like idiots and talk hella fuckin retarted? Come on now. When did it become a bad thing for black people to be intelligent?

I do understand people not liking an artist, but yall reasons are dumb.

You have to think about who is passing out the checks and running the major labels and distribution companies. When you look at it from that angle then you can see why rap has become less relivant in making people aware of real life situations and underminding education. I know people in Richmond that know them and they peoples and educated they are, but study they history and back grounds...they ain't L7, their just smart enough to do the right thing.
