What do you guys not understand? Last year was a waste for Alex Smith. Who did he have to throw to? The only thing he experienced last year was how bad a QB can look when he has nobody surrounding him. All he had was Frank Gore, and Barlow started ahead of Gore. Walter has Randy Moss, and that alone makes it 10 times easier for him. Moss half-assing it still beats an injured Arnaz Battle and Brandon Lloyd. And you fools are acting like Alex started all 16 games last season. It was only 7 games, and they didn't pass the ball much in that span. You guys are acting like Smith has been in the league longer than Walter, they both started last year.

Smith has more experience than Walter, he has seen full speed nfl football last season. Walter did not play last year, this is his 2nd start in the NFL, what do you expect from the guy?

You say Smith has no recievers to throw to, but before Tom Brady took control over the Patriots who was talkin about Branch, Givens and Brown?

I got a free ticket to the game last minute! Shit was way too dope! Lost part of my voice from all the yelling! Niners got braggin rights for another 4 years!
These games are always hella fun because of the atmosphere, in my section everybody was real coo to each other besides regular shit talking. Alot less fights than I was expecting to see.
Money Lawsons blocked punt set the tone for the 2nd half!

3 good receivers. With all the talent in the league at WR they STILL don't get mentioned. So what's your point? ANd besides, this is about your loss, not about Smith and Walter. So let's focus on that.

What are you talkin about, they were gettin a lot of attention after that year, and they still do. My point is not having any big name recievers is no excuse.

Compare them to Brandon Lloyd and Arnaz Battle (of LAST SEASON). Your arguement is irrelevant. Give up.

Yeah we lost, so what? We need to step it up and be a competitive team. As a Raider fan for 15+ years, this is the lowest I've seen this team. We are showing a little improvement from the first two games. Al Davis needs to fire Shell and Walsh then retire before we are good again.

Because you're trying to compare Brady's options to Smith's. Just because they weren't big name receivers doesn't mean they weren't able to get the job done. The Niner core COULD NOT GET IT DONE. As a matter of fact, they once started the game with what was called "the worst receiving core in history." There is a huge difference, therefor your arguement is irrelevant. Do I need to explain further?

Why don't you just move on.

Patriots Core couldn't get it done (5-11) before Brady stepped in(believe they were 0-2 at the time), became a leader and made those players around him better. So there's still no excuse. And now....................I'm done.

Their record has nothing to do with it. Their receiving core was far better than the Niners last year. It makes no difference if they were big names or not. They were able to run their routes, get open and catch the ball, which is something the Niners core could not do. Without them Brady would be riding the bench. It takes decent receivers to allow a QB to perform well. Your comparrison is completely ridiculous and proves nothing, which is why I said it's irrelevant.

Now let's move on.

Thats not the point. Not a comparison more of an example of a rookie qb stepping in, with a team that was not a threat and turned them completely around. Would he have the same success with the 2005 niners, probably not, but his work ethic rubs off and motivates other players which makes them better. Again, I'm not comparing just saying thats not an excuse.
